In the days of the me recievers ie Moss T.O. and too many more to list it is refreshing to think of such a class act as Art Monk. After catching a T.D. pass there was none of this chest pounding look at me crap it was just hand the ball to the ref. like to quote the great Barry Sanders I have been here before and i plan on coming back. A true team player not concerned with personal goals as he was his team. Im all for celebration but celebrate the teams acomplishments not personal. Please excuse my soap box but im quite passionate about that subject.Back to the topic at hand. Im not one for memorizing records or stats but im certain Art holds his share. What I do know is he did his job and he did it better than most and deserves to be in the hall.In Coach Gibbs words Art Monk was a true Redskin maybe the truest of all.

Art Monk exemplies what the Washington Redskins are all about. He had a tremendous work ethic. He never brought attention to himself, but did everything he could to make the team a success. He quietly broke records and his stats speak for themselves. He may not have been the fastest, but he was very reliable, sure-handed receiver. He conducted himself on the field and off with class and dignity. ART SHOULD BE IN THE HALL OF FAME!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys, I'm working on coming up with an Art Monk tribute page and I wanted to get everyone involved. On this page along with a bio of Monk and some pics, I also want to have some fan quotes from us, so in this thread post your own personal tribute to Monk, you can say anything, why he should be in the Hall, what he meant to you as a fan, etc.
I'll choose a handful of the best ones and post them on the tribute page when it's done. The page will also have a link to our online petition. Post away!
Thanks for making a page to HONOR Art Monk!!! It's a crime he hasn't been voted into the hall of fame. He is an ANTI-TERRELL OWENS, Art never shined the spot light on himself..........
P.S. I signed the petition to get Art Monk in the Hall Of Fame
