Schneed, can you give us an example of a new TV show(season 1 or 2) that entertained you while developing characters too slowly?

Even the way you phrase questions is stupid!

For the record I loved BB.

I think if you break down the seasons; 1 was the worst but it was only like 6 or 8 episodes. Still if you hung around it was worth it; great show.

Now days it seems like shows start off with a bang then fizzle out. To me the True Detective formula is the best. Start it and wrap it up in one season. The Missing is like that on Showtime; was a good show.

LOL!
I wasn't trying to attack you.
I'm just curious why someone would watch something that they don't find entertaining.

BB and BCS cant hold True Detective nuts. TD had superior writing, direction, and acting. The southern gothic storytelling style was a perfect mix of horror and suspense. The arrangement of the story and complex characters played by Harrelson and McConaughey are unmatched. BB and BCS shouldnt even be mentioned together, they are not close to the same level...any assertion they are, you are a moron.

Nobody's grading BCS at all, how could you, there's only been two episodes.

I never saw True Detective but want to. Sounds good. So I can't make an educated comparison to BB. That said you just said something was better than BB so you're dead to me.

BB might be to sophisticated for me. I'm going back to my Coed Confidential marathon.

I liked your unedited response better. lol

I never said I wasn't entertained, I simply acknowledged that the first season unfolded slowly. That does not mean I wasn't completely drawn in.

For me, acting sucks me in. Cranston was perfect, and I mean perfect. I was riveted by those first eight episodes, just watching the internal struggle he felt as he was first "breaking bad". He conveyed it so perfectly. The struggle he felt in his desire to provide for his family well enough, every little facial expression as he interacted with Hank and his rich former partner conveyed veiled jealousy and regret.

All I could do was think about what he'd do next, because you could sense something boiling underneath the surface of the calm family guy facade.

It was the perfect show.

I also am ashamed to admit I have never seen The Wire. I have heard amazing things. Of course this means I still get to look forward to watching TD and the Wire for the first time.

I'm envious of those who haven't seen BB yet for the same reasons.

Regarding The Wire, just watch it.

Completely different type of show than BB or even TD though.

But it's called one of the best shows of all time for good reason.
