Redskins are one of the teams using IPads for playbooksSmootSmack 07-23-2012, 08:25 AM Bucs back away from iPads | ProFootballTalk (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/07/23/bucs-back-away-from-ipads/related/) RGIII 07-23-2012, 09:06 AM You can regulate its use. As far as studying game film, the device should only be supplemental. If you bring in disciplined guys, you don't have to worry about them studying; be it on tablets (computerized or stone). That will always be a challenge for coaches, teachers, managers, etc. CRedskinsRule 07-23-2012, 09:14 AM Bucs back away from iPads | ProFootballTalk (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/07/23/bucs-back-away-from-ipads/related/) Interesting that Raheem Morris was a driving force for the Bucs adoption of it. If you can't remember to plug in your iPad, what else won't you remember to do. I think it is a matter of time before that becomes a reality. If they didn't put firewalls and restrictions on the iPads that would allow a user to access the full internet and social media sites while on their internal network that's dumb. I'm not a technology geek but I'd have to think you can restrict use to solely the content you want to be viewed and accessed, right? MTK 07-23-2012, 10:25 AM Pretty lame reasons all in all to pull away from using the iPads. I forgot to charge it? Come on now, everyone has a cell phone these days and is aware of the need for frequent charging. Plus you can just plug it in and charge while you use it. Please. tryfuhl 07-25-2012, 10:56 PM But the playbooks need to be internet-ready so that new plays can be down/uploaded. Part of the point of this setup is to allow wireless transmission of playbook components. Could just be local network... could be direct file transfer via firewire or whatever... could be bluetooth... lot of ways without it needing internet access SmootSmack 07-31-2012, 10:38 AM Washington Redskins use iPads to talk trash - NFL.com (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d82af1565/article/washington-redskins-use-ipads-to-talk-trash?) |
