Several Dead in Dark Knight Premiere Mass Shooting

We generally have a cop at our theater on the weekends and special openings such as this.Eww, I just got a really uneasy feeling in my stomach - I saw Prometheus last night and as we were walking into the theater I saw a sign that said "NO WEAPONS" and I jokily told the girl I was with to leave her .9 in the car. I know it obviously has nothing to do with the tragedy in CO but I seriously feel sick thinking about it.

I am just going to say this but why is a 3 month old out at 12am to watch Batman?
My first reactions when I heard -

Man Colorado is having a rough year.
is it near my ex?
why are a 3 month old and 6year old at a midnight showing.

After that I started thinking about the overall scope of the tragedy.

I imagine other Batman shows will have to have heightened security now, for copycats or other bizarre behavior.

Very very tragic for the families and people involved.

I think things have changed since Columbine happened.
Columbine showed these desperate people that they can make a huge media impact when they decide to go ballistic.
Some of them I’m afraid may be trying to outdo the previous headliner.
It may only get worse from here on out.

Wow, just wow, the sadest thing in the world to me is when innocent people die for no reason, (basically tragedies like these). Just imagine guys like us minding our own business taking our kids to see a movie and then this nut comes in and does that...

And my question is did this guy have a ticket to the movie? How did he get in so easily? Where is the movie ticket people and ushers to stop him from sneaking into the theater?

Thats just sad. I'm going to still see this movie, but I'm not going to lie, I'll be looking over my shoulder every now and then during it.

When the details come out I am willing to bet he bought a ticket and got in dressed as Bane. No one gave him a second look. He had on a gas mask like Bane and a bulletproof vest just like Bane.

Reports are that he came in through an exit by the screen, let off tear gas and shot from near or in front of the screen.

He came in thru an emergency exit.
He was carrying a shot gun and a rifle+.
Not somehting you would waltz in thru the front entrance with.

Sorry sir, you can't enter with your guns and body armor because you don't have a ticket. Not much a ticket taker is going to do to stop a armed man in body armor.


No reason to look over your shoulder. You are more likely to be struck by lightning than have this type of event happen to you.
