And IR will give us first rights to him in 2013. Had to waive him first though or he would have counted against the 90 man preseason roster.

I have never understood why there is such a cap for a preseason roster. I know having too many in camp is a problem but why the cap?

Might be to keep teams from hoarding players, just for the reason to keep other teams from getting them in camp. I'm sure there are teams out there that will put 150-200 players, if not more, on their preseason roster just to do this.

Somebody should be able to make coaches take notice in training camp. Something tells me that CB Morgan Trent will be a pleasant surprise.

I'm happy that no one decided to chase Minnifield and he remains with us.

Minnifield is probably viewed as an injury prone player. That's not a good reputation for a rookie to have before he even plays in a NFL game. That's why none of the other teams viewed him as a reliable option.
