Coles' attitude was very destructive. He had to go. He is not the same player who came here originally, and there is no guarantee he will ever be that player.
Look at the NE Patriots - they have talented players who play together as a team very well and very unselfishly. One receiver even played on defense for much of the year.
That is the winning model in my view.
If Gibbs thought it was hurting the team by releasing him, he wouldn't have done it. He's doing it in a classy way, but the fact that he is considering it at all to me says that he knows our team will be better off without Coles.
No disrepect to Coles - for him to be on this team is out of the question. He is dragging everyone down. He HAS to go, or change his attitude.
i think LC's toe has a major part in this.
he is not himself with the injury. he could be done in 2 years because of it(yes i know i'm not a doctor). he doesnt want to get surgery on it.
any team that gets him is going to have to consider the toe. he is damaged good. i dont think a team will trade for him. if he can give us the rest of hte SB back, i think we will be better off in a few years.
but this does change the draft plants. btw, 3 average nlf wr's doesnt equate to one good one.
Now what do we do with Gardner? Is he still gone? The passing game is in bad shape.
The passing game was in bad shape WITH Coles and Gardner.
I guess the only way to go from here is up.

So I guess no one is sleeping tonight, LOL
Is most everyone off from work/school tomorrow?
Nope I have the luxury(SP) of working 3rd shift, or hootowl as some like to call it.

I agree with the first part of what youre saying - but I wouldnt assume we have three average other receivers. How do you know about Taylor Jacobs?
