I hope that competition has really started the fire in Gano. His kickoffs are great, but he needs to be consistent in his field goals.

I was hoping for Rackers to win out, oh well. Prove me wrong Gano.

I think he did fine last year minus the blocks, but that is entirely on Danny Smith. His STs have been horrible the past few years, and had entirely too many FG blocks last year and they year prior.

Ditto. I hate the low trajectory on FG attempts, one blocked per year is too many, let alone 3.

The kickoff distance is nice though.

Bad blocking up the middle for sure, but that low trajectory doesn't help either.

Can't put the blocks all on Smith. Gano is partly to blame for too low of a kick trajectory.

its always an excuse for Gano

2011 NFL Player Kicking Stats - National Football League - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/kicking/sort/fieldGoalPct/order/false)

3rd worst field goal pct last year, 2010 worst field goal pct at 68.6%. 68% is dreadful.

Lets not forget the kickoffs out of bounds, one that sparked a rally in game we lost last year.

Gano sucks until he proves otherwise

Understandable move considering they were only able to see practices. And didn't get to trade any FG in preseason. Sticking with a incumbent player as well as paying attention to the kicking positions and not treating them as an afterthought has been a refreshing change from the Snyderatto years. I'm good with this move if only because this is not a playoff year, and Gano is better at kickoffs.

Gano needs to be a consistent pro this year or they're going to move on.

They should bring in Cundiff in my opinion. Just for a tryout at least
