Unfortunately, I think this is pretty close to the bottom line. We don't have a winning culture, and frankly I don't think Shanahan can change that. It's up to RGIII and other team leaders.
Agree. Though Im pretty excited about what we are doing so far. And I pray RGIII stays healthy.

Nobody wants to admit that Hall talks and talks and talks! Even after he gets burned! He says dumb things to the media like how Rg3 is the "worst qb in the division. If you read between the lines you understand his point but poor word choice. His constant talking on the field brings his poor play to light. If josh wilson was always barking i would be more frustrated with him when he blows a coverage. Oh and how many redskins go and tear it up somewhere else in the league besides brsndon lloyd? Dont be confused with players that tear it up until they get to washington because they are old and overpaid at that point.

Man, you guys don't let up on Hall. The way I see it is, he played as well as anyone else on the sorry ass Redskins of late (few exceptions). Put a good team around him and watch him shine. It was hard enough just watching the Skins play, gotta be tough to give 100% to a team thats sucks year after year after year... Thats why so many of the guys we get rid of light it up on other teams. Or great players we bring to the Skins mysteriously SUCK when they get here. Right Haynesworth... Right 44.One of the fundamental issues with the Redskins over the last four years has been poor pass coverage. If Hall was actually a good player caught on a bad team, could we not at least expect him to have a positive effect on those players immediately around him.
It would be one thing if the Redskins were like the Jets, Hall took multiple no. 1 receivers away, and the Redskins were mediocre entirely because of an inept offense. But the defense has been lacking in many, many games in the last four years, and of the constants (Hall, Fletcher, Alexander, Golston, Orakpo) on that side of the ball, Hall's performance is the single hardest to defend.
There are worse players on the Redskins defense than Hall (Cedric Griffin, Brandon Meriweather, for example), but the bottom line is that this has clearly become an issue of questionable decisions by the current regime. Shanahan could have saved a lot of trouble and big plays against by axing Hall when he came in and just blaming the contract on Cerrato.

He was solid in the box, pressuring Brees, run support was there. Solid game. He'll make believers out of you slugs yet.

I thought DeAngelo played a solid game, hopefully he does keep his mouth shut! Let's go out and prove we're good before we start talking trash about it!

He did. Told ya'll he was a good tackler, especially on runs and short passes.
The WHOLE secondary really played a great game! 3 TDs and 25 points given up to Brees...that's really a successful day.
I think the pressure put on Brees really helped a LOT and I think our front 7 will be masking our secondary deficiencies all season.
Gomes had an amazing game. I'm excited to keep him in the starting lineup, even when Meriweather comes back.
