2004 Pre-season schedule

The Super Bowl is on February 6, 2005.


The skins will be pretty tired by then, but Gibbs will have them ready! ;)

I think 5 is a little much, I agree with Matty, go to 2 preseason and 18 regular season.
I don't think Coach will play the starters enough in the preseason for them to get burned out, but you can never forsee possible injuries.
Sure glad we get to see them twice though and yeah, I'd love to see Coles burn Champ!!!!!

I'd stick with 16 Regular Season, I just think that works out well. But I'd cut down the preseason games to 2 or 3 though.

Anyone know why they don't show preseason games on Sunday ticket?

They don't show them because local stations pay close to 5 to 10 million dollars to show preseason games. The local stations have these deals locked down. Maybe you should try to find a local bar to watch the games. I mean I am able to view all the preseason game at my local bar.

Anyone know when the Regula Season Schedule Comes out?
The regular season schedule is finalized and announced after the Annual Owner's Meeting which is being held March 28th thru April 1st.

So you don't have too much longer to wait, Gmanc. I'm a little anxious for that schedule to come out, too. Then I can really start making some decisions on tickets.:biggthump

I agree 5 is a little much, but don't forget the first game is the HOF game - 2 teams always gets an extra preseason game when they get this one.

As for injuries, if they are going to happen to a player (Springs? Canidate? Betts?) they'll happen when they happen. An extra series or 2 in one more game won't have that much impact. I'll lay odds they backups are in early in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th games.

Consider it a bonus for JG - he gets an extra game to evaluate talent and possibly get a diamond FA from the rough...

I like the preseason, its a time for the rookies to show the team what they can do so they have a better chance to make a team.

I'd like to see the NFL expand to an 18 game regular season and cut the preseason to two games. 4 is too much as it is, 5 is just ridiculous.

I agree. 2 preseason games for everyone, plus the HOF and Japan games for 4 teams. 2-3 games is good enough. If they want more time to evaluate young talent, have more scrimmages or send them to Europe.

Also, with more games meaning more chance of injury, expand the roster to 56, with a game-day active of 50.

Also everyone, make sure we remember that Gibbs usually loses pre-season games....he's too busy evaluating talent. So if/when it happens, remember that it is pre-season!
If I remember correctly, the Skins lost every preseason game at least two of the SB winning seasons...
