Maybe if he played safety. I cant imagine even the biggest anti-shanny is complaining too much about our offense anymore.
Have you not been reading some of these threads? Goat wants Kyle gone due to his play calling....lol A couple others share his view.

It's gonna be hilarious when Cooley is on the inactive list every week
Yeah, except at least now I don't have to change my username.
It will be interesting to see how much time it takes to get him on the active roster.

I thought the same thing although I guess it seems unlikely to be the case as it's hard to not have 3 TEs active. If one goes down then who steps in? Also they're generally the backup at FB.

My thoughts on Kyle are this. Like SS says he overthinks things. I can look at Kyles career and say this - in Houston he had Foster Schaub and Johnson. In Washington our offense stunk until we got RG-3. So im not sure who is making who look good? Not to mention the fact that if Kyles father wasnt who he was he probably would not be employed by the NFL period. Since Kyle left Houston has the playcalling and offense missed a beat? No. Im dont want Kyle gone for one reason rite now. Stability. Not because i think he is an offensive mastermind. If he continues to call plays like an option run by a tight end in critical moments of big games im going to hop on the Goats bandwagon real fast though.

Cooley is always gonna be a Redskin great. You never have to change your name. Nor should you.

With Cooley back on the roster the Skins won't lose another game.

I would be willing to go so far as to say that his being back will ultimately lead to opposing teams not completing another pass against us. Why? Because sometimes the best pass defense is a guy named Chris Cooley.

Bill Walsh wasn't anything until Joe Montana. Bill Bellicheat wasn't anything until Tom Brady. We can play this game ALL day long. It doesn't matter how good you are, if you don't have the talent to make it work, you aren't going to do very well. Talent ALWAYS carries a coach for the most part, so you assertion that somehow Kyle's success isn't really his, it's somebody else, is a bit ridiculous. Kyle has earned his stripes in the NFL, he hasn't had daddy giving him jobs. No coach out there is going to risk their jobs just to employee some coaches kid if he couldn't do the job.

Lets not compare Walsh to Kyle first of all. Bill Walsh revolutionized the game and introduced the West Coast Offense. He won as a head coach and college at Stanford and made his bones for years in the NFL. Showing his ability and innovativeness on some real crap teams. Secondly Bellicheck did win 11 games the year Brady got injured and look at what Parcells did when Bellicheck was on his staff as opposed to when he wasnt. Point is they both showed me something at some point when they did not have a superstar qb. They both made their bones and worked their way up through the ranks. Kyle Shanahan was a graduate asst for ONE year with UCLA before John Gruden gave him a shot with TB before Gary Kubiack ( who coincidentally worked under Daddy for years ) gave him a shot with Houston. So please - please do not tell me they didnt give the kid a shot because of his last name. Kyle - grad asst one year
Bucs under Gruden one year
Texans - wr coach ( sure he taught andre johnson everything he knows - lol)/ hired by his Daddys Guy! After two years - one as a grad asst in college!
Redskins - hired by - guess who - Daddy. No Qb - horrible offense/ draft RG-3 - hes a genius like he was with Schaub/ Davis/ Foster!
I will play this game all day long! Lol.
