If Andy and Vick are done in Philly, I think the Jags could be a landing spot for Vick. Someone who could energize the fanbase and sell tickets. Think it would be a good fit while prepping Geno Smith on the bench.

Vick's days of a starter are all but over if he's benched in Philly.

Barring multiple 40+ point games, Haslett is not getting fired midseason. How many f'ing times have you asked this same stupid question? 63 posts and I bet more than a small percentage are "When are we firing Haslett? Any update?" or some variation on the theme.

You are really a one-trick pony dude. We got it. You hate Haslett. Guess what - you, me and everyone else in Skins World better get used to giving up lots of yards/points threw the air. A change of coaching is NOT going to change that this season. Regardless of coaching, the talent is just not there.

Thats a bunch of crap. There are great coaches that can do a whole lot more with a lack of talent than Jim Haslett.

edit: I am not saying that one of those great coaches is available, and we probably are stuck with Haslett for the remainder of the season. To say that there isnt anybody that could do a better job than Jim Friggin Haslett with what we have is nonsense. That is what you are implying by saying regardless of coaching, the talent is just not there.

No. What I said was: "A change of coaching is NOT going to change [the points/yards] this season. Regardless of coaching, the talent is just not there."

I am implying nothing. I am expressly stating that, with the talent we have available, and the fact that we are six games into this season - for this season - firing Haslett is not going to improve the D.

While I disagree with you, Devi and Goat about the degree, I don't disagree that there are likely better options at DC than Haslett - after the season is over. He is an average D Coordinator and nothing special. Not horrific, but nothing to write home about either.

Haslett has crap for a defensive backfield and, with that as a base, has made some good decisions and done some good work but has also made crappy decisions and done crappy work. On the whole he has not overcome the lack of talent through innovative coaching - not sure anyone but a handful of folks could. Certainly, no one is going to step in and magically improve our D this year.

And the race to L.A. continues, who will get there first? The Jags or the Chargers?

Chargers.

Matt Barkley, starting Jaguars QB in 2013.

Personally, I thought Henne would beat Gabbert out anyway in camp. They had a close battle for the job but again, the big-salaried rookie won out because of how much the team has invested/wasted on him.

Brilliant

I was wondering how many people would get that. LOL.

So SS, I heard a conspiracy theory about the Chargers wanting to move to LA. Have you heard anything or do you have an educated guess?
