Definitely a good move! Just make sure he passes the physical!
Skins may sign Rabach from RavensDaseal 03-01-2005, 09:14 PM Definitely a good move! Just make sure he passes the physical! MTK 03-01-2005, 09:46 PM If all we do tomorrow is lock up a starting center I'd be very pleased. That Guy 03-01-2005, 09:53 PM he's young too, had a great year, and has proved he belongs in the nfl... hopefully he's not too expensive (center seems to be a pretty cheap position at least). Now get a blocking TE (very very cheap) and there's only one glaring need left on offensive... Redskins_P 03-01-2005, 09:56 PM Don't know too much about him, but I'll take him over Raymer! MTK 03-01-2005, 09:59 PM Here's his profile from Scouts Inc., keep in mind it's from before last season when he became the starter: Name: Casey Rabach Position: Center Grade: 69 | Key Alert: None Comment: Rabach shows a good understanding of the game. He takes excellent angles to his blocks and generally gets into good position. Shows good footwork in pass protection, possesses adequate lateral mobility in the short area and flashes the ability to redirect inside because he plays with good awareness and body control. Didn't sustain any serious injuries at the college level and has been durable throughout his NFL career. The problem is that Rabach is a much better football player than he is an athlete, and he also is a little bit of a ?tweener OG/OC that lacks ideal size/strength at OG and lacks ideal athletic ability at OC. Isn't as effective as he needs to be on pulls and lacks the speed to turn the corner. Doesn't have the bulk to anchor against effective bull rushers and will get pushed back into the pocket. Overall, Rabach has shown that he is capable of filling in over a short period of time at both the OG and OC positions. That Guy 03-01-2005, 10:08 PM i watched him last year, he started 16 games, and i watched raymer too... raymer got pushed back EVERY GD play :( this guy didn't... not saying he's pro bowl material, but he's definately a monumental upgrade that hasnt peaked yet and can stay around for a long time.... GoSkins! 03-01-2005, 10:19 PM Great news. Small things will be the difference between 12-4 and 6-10. A center isn't going to make big headlines in DC, but if he helps convert the third and 1, great things are going to happen for us. celts32 03-01-2005, 10:41 PM Now this is a good move! Nice to read something that makes sense after scratching my head over Samari Rolle for 2 days... ST21 03-01-2005, 11:35 PM lets get it done heybigstar 03-02-2005, 12:34 AM add him, return a healthy jansen, add mike williams, give ramsey another year of training, gibbs adjusts playcalling BBAMMMMMMMMMMMM |
