this is such bullsh*t ... adderall .. really ?? why are all the seahawks guys playing .. can anyone confirm he already appealed ? they said the same thing about the seattle guys, 4 games and boom they played ... still this is like snakebit city he was playing great ... btw i don't see the big deal about adderall ... every college kid takes em during exam week and it's just something that makes you focus .. big effin' deal ... worry about guys slamming steroids
They are playing because they haven't gone through their appeal process yet. Cedric has. He lost the appeal, and is now suspended. The same thing is going to happen to them when/if they lose their appeal. Most of the time you don't hear about them testing positive until after they've already gone through the appeal process. Lot of privacy involved.

Maybe Barry Wilburn can still play.

Basically the only argument one can make is that it was prescribed. Even then the league hasnt always reduced the suspension. They're doomed

Are there any practice squad guys around the league that we could take a chance on? Obviously this hurts our weakest spot, but maybe we can find some workaholic type guy and take a chance on him.
I like that idea.... Isaiah Frey with the Bears, go to the team that is loaded with talent at CB. 6'-0" 190 lbs Rookie, 22 yrs old. 4.4 40 yrd dash, rated 48/176 DB's coming out this year.

Tallied 141 tackles (100 solo), 1.0 sacks and 7.0 TFLs... Added 7 INTs, 38 PDs and 2 FFs... First-team all-WAC as a senior... Second-team all-WAC as a junior.

How long do you have to appeal?
Edit: i know CG did already n lost but why would the Seahawks guys wait? I would rather face regular season opponents shorthanded than playoff caliber opponents.

He's already appealed. (and lost)
Most of the time, we (the public) do not hear about suspensions or failed drug tests until after the appeal process is over. Hell, I think they have to fail 2 drug tests (which are never disclosed) before they are even up for a suspension. A ton of privacy in these matters.
edit: The Seahawk guys have appealed. Which is why they played this past weekend.

I think this is one of the complaints that players have who are on ADD/ADHD medicine. I thought one of the complaints is some players are being allowed to use them by the NFL and others using the same drugs are being punished. There was not a clear reason why. When I heard it I thought maybe it had to do with the ones being allowed because they have doctors who prescribe them the medicine and the others don't but thats not the case. Some who are being punished do have doctors prescriptions.

So CG appealed and lost and will now miss four games. The Seahawk guys appealed and played? What am I missing?
Edit: NC im assuming you meant to say the Seattle guys DID NOT appeal? Leads me back to my original question. We all know Seattle guys failed tests so how long do they have to appeal? I guess what im getting at is why the different strategies between CG and Seattles guys as far as getting the ball rolling on the suspensions?

Was tempted to go with Griffin Suspended as the thread title....but I don't want to be responsible for several dozen simultaneous heart attacks
Haha. Good thinking.
