Lost Some Faith In ShanahanMTK 01-08-2013, 08:29 PM Everyone sure is coming out of the woodwork lately eh SkinzWin 01-08-2013, 08:29 PM You mean like he did after his first ACL? oh wait.... zing. point well made. I talked about that earlier. However, I do have to cover myself by stating, for the record; injuries are like snowflakes, no two are alike.... (Medical Analysis curtesy of Holiday Inn Express) Brody81 01-08-2013, 08:31 PM How many times do we have to hear this until we realize that maybe, JUST MAYBE, some of this blame should be on Robert himself? He knows his body better than anybody else, and God love him for being a warrior and willing to fight on one leg, but the coach does not have all the freakin' time in the world to go and chase down the doctor or his assistant coaches and inquire about every single injury. He's got coaching to do, he's got a game he was trying to win. There are a lot of would've, could've, should'ves floating around, but ya know, things happen. Move on. Wish Griffin the best, thank God for a great turnaround of a season. Things are bright for this team. This^ Brody81 01-08-2013, 08:43 PM Are all football forums filled with a bunch of drama queens like this? Week 1 - Shanahan better get the job done this year. Week 3 - Looks like Shanahan has turned the team around. Week 5 - Shanahan is losing this team! Week 7 - Shanahan has lost this team! Week 9 - Fire Shanahan! Week 11 - Maybe Shanahan is smarter than we thought! Week 13 - Shanahan is saving his job! Week 17 - Shanahan is a genius! What a bright future he's brought to us! The next week - I've lost faith in Shanahan! I'm selling my RGIII jersey that has only hung in my closet all year! We do have the best Arm chair quarterbacks in the league.. VTSkins1961 01-08-2013, 08:55 PM To me the bottom line is this MS is the coach. He should have pulled RG3 after the 2'nd TD. And as far as that goes, he should not not have played him in the final regualr season games. I am not placing blame on MS but think about this. It would've been better for us to miss the playoff's and not risk a serious injury to RG3 so he can have a longer career... Now all is up in the air because of this injury. I don't think it is career threatening at this point but I DO BELIEVE he has shortened RG3's career at this point. Hog1 01-08-2013, 09:01 PM I have heard and read a few "Football" people weigh in on this issue...like Jaws, Trent Dilfer, Herm Edwards, Mike Golic, Doc Walker and several others who either played the game or coached it. ALL....universally...support Mike and his decision to play Robert under the circumstances. milellie111 01-08-2013, 10:13 PM How many times do we have to hear this until we realize that maybe, JUST MAYBE, some of this blame should be on Robert himself? Yeah, lets blame Robert, the 22 year old kid with less than a year of experience playing in the NFL as opposed to blaming the coach who has over 30 years of coaching experiencing in the NFL and should know that when your QB can't run or complete a pass and is limping on one leg, maybe you should pull him out instead of sacrificing him to one of the dirtiest top defense in the league. SmootSmack 01-08-2013, 10:20 PM Never had much faith in Shanahan to begin with. Counting this season the man has won one playoff game in 14 years. But people still talk about him like he's a genius. He's an over the hill, arrogant snob of a coach and now his arrogance/stupidity has most likely cost the Redskins their franchise player. Anyone who thinks RG3 will come back the same is kidding themselves. Wherever you've been for the last three months...please go back Counter-Tre 01-08-2013, 10:27 PM Forget whether or not anyone knew the extent of RGIII's at the time - they should have pulled him because he couldn't perform anymore! If he was hobbling around hurt but still making plays despite it all, that's one thing, but he couldn't do shit! Anyway, I hope the guy is able to recover and doesn't come back until he's 100%.
