The Redskins have drafted well for three years straight(about to be 4 years straight) and this team is almost totally rebuilt. The only reason the Redskins didn't inch further in the playoffs was because of Robert's ailing knee injury. I strongly disagree with your assessment that the Redskins are still far away from competing for a SB championship.

Would rather have the Steelers defense of the 70's. 10 years > 1, even then though, I think most teams would probably have gone 15-1 too, or close to it. Especially in the NFC East.

Because of free agency it is impossible to keep a D together like the '70's Steelers. Even the '85 Bears couldn't keep their D together because some team (ahem) poached Wilbur Marshall.
