With this draft class of QBs, I'd be wanting cousins as my future as well. Geno isn't that great and I will.never trust a USC qb in the NFL

Kirk Cousins isn't going anywhere. I haven't heard much about Cousins being traded but the notion sounds absurd. Until Bruce Allen does make that deal, it shouldn't be news until then...

Kinda old article but it's good to see Cousins trying it out

Even if it's a first rounder it's just not worth it cause there's no telling how that pick will turn out. And RG3 has to prove that he's durable. Cousins has already shown that the NFL was not too big for him his rookie season and I see no reason why he won't improve. He's a leader, he's accurate, he gets the ball out quickly, he's smart and his mobility is very underrated. Right now, Cousins is one of the most valuable guys on this team.

WTF!!!!!! What if RGIII goes down, do you want to tank the season with Grossman? I repeat, you are not going to get anything of real value for Cousins based on his very short resume of taking over for Robert. He won, but his stats weren't terrific. I think after the Chiefs bit on Cassel, and the Cards on Kolb, the NFL front offices are a bit wiser in going all in for a backup. We need Cousins to stay with us for his entire contract, and if he does get some more shots at starting because of RG III going down or getting nicked up and performs very well, we keep him and resign him if the $$ is right.

Kinda old article but it's good to see Cousins trying it outIf Cousins can make good decisions like RG3, the read option (limited) and play action stuff could work. I think one of his best plays in Cleveland last season was a Shanahan patented (tm) bootleg.

Listened to KC on Mike and Mike this morning. A couple notes I took.

1. The guy is ready for the big time, just his poise and his confidence. He reminds me of a young Aaron Rodgers.

2. He said he and his family were a bit shocked and dissapointed about the draft which is understandable, BUT he said he wouldn't change it one bit.

3. He said " I will get some more time on the field in Washington before my time is up here " meaning he is ready to showcase his talents to every team interested in him down the road.

Overall it was a pretty funny interview, and there is no doubt Kirk will be a big time QB in the NFL.

Even for a first I wouldn't deal him. Not with Griffin coming off a major knee injury. Did we already forget what life with Rex as the starter was like??

Are you saying you don't want to bring sexy back?

Wait two more years when he's a restricted free agent to either trade him or let someone else sign him to an offer sheet and we get a first round pick. It is way too soon to trade him now. His value isn't high enough to warrant a first round pick and we need him because he is our starter right now and Griffin hasn't exactly shown that he is good at staying healthy yet.

Everyone take a deep breath. We just had our first playoff appearance in years, our starting QB is coming off ACL surgery, and the thought of our third string QB being under center makes be nauseated.
Let's establish ourselves as a winning system before we get cute trading a bird in our hands.
