Rondo will probably stay actually, he's young still and a top PG

Time to see how good Rondo is...with his homeboys gone gonna be alot of pressure. This goes one of two ways...really good or terrible.

Power Rankings for the East for next season (I pulled off of an NBA facebook page)

Power Rankings (East)

1. Heat
2. Bulls
3. Knicks
4. Nets
5. Pacers
6. Cavaliers
7. Wizards
8. Hawks
9. Pistons
10. Raptors
11. Celtics
12. Bobcats
13. Bucks
14. Sixers
15. Magic

I haven't been following basketball too closely anymore. Sound right? Way off? I'm just surprised the Wizards aren't in the bottom. They've sucked it up for years now.

It's not so much that the Wizards are good, its the fact that everyone else sucks. Kind of like why the Patriots should win the AFC East. They aren't that good, but everyone else sucks that badly.

I think the Pacers should be 2nd or 3rd... they've been playing together for a few seasons now and Paul George is on the cusp of superstardom. Resigning David West is huge.

Rose is coming back, but I'm still wondering where the Bulls are going to get the rest of their scoring. Belinelli leaving for San Antonio has to hurt.

As for the NY teams, I'm wondering how interested Melo is while waiting for his exit to (perhaps) LA. Nets are stronger with Garnett and Pierce, but I can't see them beating Miami, Indy or Chicago in a series.

I think they've got a much better future than some teams (Milwaukee and Charlotte come to mind... Jefferson wasn't a bad pickup for the latter, however). Harris, Harkless and Vucevic are keepers. Oladipo may end up being the best of this draft class. The Magic need an upgrade at PG, imo- Nelson's FG% is too low to be shooting as much as he does.

Who would have thought Orlando would have been the team coming out ahead in the D-Howard four way trade?

Too many questions in the east except for the heat being far and away the best. Nets: coaching and chemistry, bulls:rose injury and keepin Noah healthy, Knicks: not sold that team can play defense and stoudamire looks to be a shell of himself, wiz:beal and nene health, cavs: wild assumption to put them in the top ten just based on talent, celtics: fully in rebuild mode. I like where the pacers are going but is hibert mature enough to consistently contribute?

The only problem with the Pacers is they do not have good guard play. It cost them in game 7 against Miami. If they somehow get a good point guard they can challenge Miami, especially if Dwade is unhealthy again.

The Knicks had the best scoring defense in the league in the playoffs. The problem isn't their defense, its the fact that outside of Carmelo they can't score consistently. Once JR Smith went cold that team got destroyed.

It was Lance Stephenson. He was there Rex Grossman. He kept both teams in the game, but ultimately took more shots than he needed to, which lead to bricks as opposed to points. And Paul George kind of disappeared after game 5.
