I'd chop its head off.
I hate snakes as well but in reality he was just doing what snakes do. It be far more fitting to chop the head off the person who didn't secure his cage.

When it rains snakes indoors, the apocalypse must be near. :)
I guess it could have happened pretty quickly if it fell on or just near them both and immediately wrapped them up. Makes more sense now.
Just terrible.
"Once they are in constricting mode, any part of their body that is touching something that moves, they'll wrap it. I've seen snakes with two different prey items at the same time, one with the back of the body and one with the front. It could have been an incident like that."

^ exactly
Imagine two kids aged 5 and 7 lying in bed and a 15 foot long snake that weighs over 100lbs on top of them. I'm puttin my chips all in on the snake comin out on top in that scenario about 9 out of 10 times. Over 100lbs of dead weight is hard enough for a grown man to move much less a child. Think of all the pictures you ever see of these snakes when they capture them, not usually one or two people holding them, more like 5-6, atleast.
Just an awful story.
