He will, Lance Lewis looked good too. Deszmon Briscoe cant catch anything.

Briscoe continues to amaze me with how bad his hands are.

Alrighty then.

How about we move on and talk about something other than the 3rd string QB?

I really liked B. Jenkins, I think he could add a new dimension to the pass rush.

Thanks for moving the discussion forward...

The alignment that got Kerrigan his sack could be incredibly tough to block.. Jenkins coming off the edge, Kerrigan at DE against a guard, Tapp with his hand on the ground against a guard and Orakpo off the other edge. If we can generate a consistent rush with that 4 it makes the job on the back end that much easier.

I'm admittedly in the minority but Helu is still a 'prove it' player to me. His vision and RB instincts are sub par. He's got great feet and speed but the difference between him and Morris or even Royster in understanding where the hole is, where the cutback lane is and when to wait for it is night and day. I hope some of it was rust but it was an issue in '11 also.

From the Titans side, Jake Locker=Jason Campbell. He is their version of Captain Checkdown. I think he will be what keeps them from being a decent team.

Agreed on Helu. Royster is probably the better fit in the zone scheme, but Helu has that home run ability with his speed.

Locker is bad. I won't be shocked if Fitzpatrick ends up starting at some point.

Jenkins looked good at FSU. I was glad that he fell and hopefully he stays healthy. He definitely allows the coaches to be more creative, will be interesting to see if they find a way to play Rob Jackson (when he returns), Orakpo, Kerrigan, and Jenkins all at the same time.

Unlike the safeties the young corners were impressive last night. Amerson looks like he can turn into a solid corner and looks to have extremely long arms, which is a huge advantage against the bigger receivers, like Dez Bryant or Hakeem Nicks.

Crawford, Amerson, and Minnifield could be our future at CB...all starting next year.

I liked Jenkins too. It got me thinking - After game 4, on 3rd and long: Rak, Kerrigan in a 4 pnt stance with Jenkins and Jackson standing up. Cofield and Bowen slide into the tackles.

The only thing given in that scenario is the inside rush. Bring four and drop Kerrigan and Rak into coverage. Bring 4 leaving Jenkins and Jackson in coverage. Bring 5 dropping one of the four in coverage. Bring all 6. If Jenkins keeps improving and can work on coverage and plays in space - that has the potential to be a scary nasty 3rd down package.

Really, outside of O-Line and ILB, you have to love the depth on this team.

I think the Redskins still have a lot of unanswered questions at safeties and DLine in terms of pass rush, but I agree with the other positions.

I was trying to find how many starters the Titans held out/were out due to injury. Remember that we had 6-8 day one starters sitting out. Our depth is really very good, and that will be critical as the season goes on.
