well, i mean... did our D magically get better, or was it the raiders making them look good?
also our special teams have to be close to #32 in the league. they just can't do anything right, so i'm sure there are upgrades out there. i don't know that bringing in people now will help a lot this year (no offseason, new terminology etc), but yeah, we have some work to do.
Yes, Oakland made the D look better than they really are. The Raiders have a terrible, patchwork OL but they were still running the ball down our throats until every RB on their team got hurt during the game. Also, the QB who started against us was demoted to 3rd string after the game. We are not good on D.
Yes, our ST's are bad. It seems to me that the Skins should be able to at least pick up a PR/KR somewhere to help our field position. There must somebody decent on the street.
BTW, our offense is bad, too.
The Oakland game was a win but not a turning point. As of now, we're still playing bad football, IMO. Perhaps a win in Dallas could jump start the season.
Wrong answer. The truth is it never happens. We're holding the tryouts to mask the fact that RG3 isn't totally healthy but Shanahan is afraid Kirk Cousins will play well. That's the answer you're supposed to give!
Silly me.
I'm sure Pat White plays into this somewhere too.

It would be really messed if it was. Teams not signing a proven vet, who had a good year last year ( 58 tackles and 4 ints). Seems very odd.
Even though his money demands are the real reason most likely, the reason of not getting a job if he were openly gay would not be odd at all.
Besides the possibility of a few players not wanting a gay teammate, the real issue here is teams not wanting the crazy media circus that a gay NFL player would bring to town. Jason Collins is a scrub who can barely make an NBA team and averages more fouls per game than points per game and we had to hear about him every day for 3 months including the President calling him a "hero" for having sex with men. It has less to do with his lifestyle and more to do with the crapstorm of attention and distractions that would come with him.
I don't want that distraction. It will be worse than if we signed Tim Tebow.
The media ruins more careers than it helps and Rhodes is another victim. If the media's world wouldn't stop because of non-stories like a player's sexual orientation, their religious beliefs or their supermodel girlfriends...teams would not have to consider the rabid packs of drooling reporters when picking talent for their rosters.
I'd love to have Rhodes on this team as a player...but I don't want the gay media parade that will come with him if it's true. I don't care either way, just stop Dez Bryant and pick off Eli Manning a couple of times and you're good with me as a Redskin. Oh yeah, and don't do drugs, drive drunk and avoid raping and murdering people. Who you sleep with doesn't matter to me, but sadly, the media is obsessed with it.

I'm pretty sure nobody cares that Kerry Rhodes is gay. That rumor has been swirling around for several years now, he denies it and that's as much as I've ever heard on the subject.
This is being blown up way more than it has even had a chance to go. It's like the slippery slope that hasn't even happened. Stop.

I would not have a clue about his personal life, but I heard the same discussion on sports talk radio this morning.
Like I said, the media is the real problem.

Then please stop repeating their speculations.

And D. Hall and Reed Doughty are to blame for something.

Jason Smith seems to be getting looks all over the place.

Not at all. He won't take a pay cut, that's the main reason why teams won't sign him. Cardinals tried to bring him back on multiple occasions. He said no every time
Thanks for the inside knowledge.
