thrash had good returns, i like him better than betts (who doesn't have the speed and doesnt get that many yards, even though he's the only one that can break tackles).
Skins resign ClemonsThat Guy 03-22-2005, 03:04 AM thrash had good returns, i like him better than betts (who doesn't have the speed and doesnt get that many yards, even though he's the only one that can break tackles). MTK 03-22-2005, 08:38 AM Very happy to see Clemons is coming back BrudLee 03-22-2005, 08:58 AM I'm also curious how many of you guys were calling for him to be cut when he had a critical fumble. Perhaps you should give a player time before passing judgement. (Talking about Brown) I don't remember too many people beating up Brown for his fumble. I think we all knew he was not the first option, and with the injuries we had, we were happy he did as well as he did. I wish the fumble hadn't happened, but I bet Brown feels the same way. That Guy 03-22-2005, 09:46 AM i was a bit mad we (the team, not brown indiviually) found another way to lose a closes game, but it happens... and i had already been impressed by his skill (for a no name midseason pickup) at that point. skinsfanthru&thru 03-22-2005, 11:02 AM I like the resigning of Clemons because in his small amount of playing time, he frequently made an impact and getting that from situational players is huge. And as far as the cut Morton thing that's spreading like wildfire, I thought it had been discussed in a thread a while back that cutting him would increase his cap hit ala Coles, but not that extremely. So why would they cut a player and cost themselves more cap space than if they kept him, if the player in question is someone we can use and who wants to play here still? One fumble isn't going to send him to the waiver wire on this board, two fumbles is a different story though! LOL Daseal 03-22-2005, 11:47 AM Im just curious, anyone remember the date of that game? Gmanc711 03-22-2005, 11:54 AM Im just curious, anyone remember the date of that game? The Cowboys game? That was December 26th, 2004 Daseal 03-22-2005, 12:12 PM You were right, only one person asked for him to be cut! Sorry. Looking back at old threads during the season is actually pretty fun. That game is around page 64. TheMalcolmConnection 03-22-2005, 01:15 PM I was upset about that, but he more than made up for it at the end of the year. |
