Griff will grow into that role. We're still talking about a guy who's in his early 20's. Give him time.

Green admitted he's not close to the team and it was speculation on his part.

Speculation, but probably not too far from reality as well, given the personnel turnover and infusion of young talent in the past 2-3 years.

I don't think it is this team's biggest problem though.

Green is not remotely close enough to this locker room to make such a statement. Now if Chris Cooley made such a statement, I would give it far more credence.

Griffin could help himself in one way - stop coming across as so self-promoting, for example, the ridiculous ESPN infomercial on his comeback. The off-season became more about Griffin than the team.

Last year the players on this team were saying he's a natural leader... Now that we suck he's not......

Who cares at this point. Unless there is a 180 degree turn in the direction of this franchise within 2 seasons, RG III won't be resigned. I am not badmouthing RG III, but he is going to ask for more money probably, and the Skins, if they are smart are going to balk. One man can't make a team a winner in the NFL. We have so many holes on this team they might as well rename the team Swiss Cheese. RG doesn't have a line, doesn't have consistent Wrs, and the D other than OLBs quite frankly sucks.

Griffin won't be leaving unless he is injured for good, just relax man and remember that a new coaching staff can do wonders , look at Philly this yr same exact team basically as last yr and they r 6-5 and may win the east

Everything about the execution of this team on the field is inconsistent, even the play calling with the coaches. To being a contender in this division, doesn't take a whole lot of improvement, but obviously we don't have the horses or the coaching.

I hope he doesn't Okie, I like him a lot, but we have way too many holes to fill. My god, when are we going to get a really decent O line put together for him? Actually get a WR or two that can consistently make good grabs? It is a shame that his talent might be wasted here. I wish they just dismantle the god damn salary cap. It actually has hurt the NFL product as a whole.

I don't like that Griffin said that it looked like Philly's D knew what was coming. That is basically saying that their coaches outschemed ours. Do recall that Griffin missed an easy throw to a WIDE OPEN Logan Paulson for a huge play on the first drive of the game. Didn't look like Philly's D saw that play coming. As the supposed team leader, he should take a little blame for missing open receivers and throwing the ridiculous INT at the end.
