Nothing. People just started bashing him for no reason. He IMPLIED something about Dan, but that's it.

Yeah, we really didn't have a kicker that year. I remember thinking that even if that last snap wasn't botched, we probably still wouldn't have made the kick. We had awful kickers that year.

All water under the bridge to me. If we needed to go through 8 years of Norv, 1 of Marty, 2 of Spurrier, and countless free agent mistakes in order to get Joe Gibbs back, then it was well worth it.

What did Norv say bad??? Nothing, he was just a miserable coach for 8 years. With 2 minutes left the half and we are down by 14 he decides to run out the clock by kneeling down on the ball. Talk about giving up.

I always liked Norms for his ideas, he just was not a good leader of men. Having a head strong guy like Snyder take over had to have made his tenure miserable.

If Norv would of had a field goal kicker that year we would of won a lot more games. After 6 season you would think by the 7th year as head coach you would have had a field goal kicker.

A BIG AMEN TO THAT !! :food-smil

the redskins had great offenses under turner, and awful defenses.if you offense scores 50 points a game, but your defense gives up 55,you ai'nt winning many games.i think that snyder made a HUGE mistake firing turner when he did though.he should have let him coach the rest of the year.

In case I missed something, what did Norv say here that was bad??

I just don't want to hear a guy who had 8 years imply that he was close to turning a corner. He's not a bad guy and he didn't say anything that bad, but I just don't want to hear him say he was getting close 8 years in. Coaches now adays are on the hot seat after 2 years. He's a terrible football coach. The worst in a long line of bad decisions Danny made was firing Charley C & keeping Norvel...

I still wonder what would have happend if Snyder didn't go on that famous spending spree. Norv is right, we did have a nice core on offense, we had BJ throw for over 4000 yards that year, Connell and Westbrook were both 1000 yard WRs, Davis ran for over 1400 yards.

If Snyder would have just left well enough alone, and maybe make a few additions to bolster the D, who knows, perhaps we could have turned a corner in 2000 instead of imploding.
