surprisingly i liked trung last year...... in the beggining, didn't he and ramsey do that flee fliker in that preseason game. That just makes me happy to know that we could throw the deep bomb with our QB.

Actually, that was Morton who threw the pitchback to Ramsey, who with LC's help made R. Lewis and Ed Reed look silly. Sad that it came in a preseason game, but that was one of the best redskins plays I've ever seen.

Personally, I think it might be useful to have Gardner around this year, as much as I despise the guy. Since he's playing the last year of his contract and auditioning for other teams, he could end up having a Mushin Muhammed type year - ok maybe not as good, but better than any of his previous seasons here. Gardner made some unbelievable grabs (along with some unbelievable drops) last year. The one in the first Giants game (a 50 yd pass play from Ramsey) was an incredible catch.

Shuler's career went to the dogs (http://espn.go.com/outdoors/sportingdogs/s/sd_fea_K9_Nation_show12_Shuler.html)

I dont know who had high expectations for brunelll. did anyone watch the qb challenge from last year, he overthrew everything. that didnt change once he got on the field, either.

I was pretty young when the whole Shuler thing went down. I remember him being a huge bust. What was everyone's opinion before he actually started playing? Did everything he would magically resurrect the team into greatness?

Dolly Parton.

Jeff George, Dan Wilkenson, Dana Stubelfield maybe even Steve Spurrier

I'm not sure if I would throw Dan Wilkinson up there. He actually had a few decent years. If my memory is not mistaken, he racked up 7 sacks one year with us.

Big Daddy definitely had the "biggest bust" of them all. ;)

Big Daddy wasn't worth the contract we gave him but he was an adequate starter for us in his time here.

Stubby and Spurrier should definitely go in the bust category.

I'm torn between Shuler and Spurrier. On one hand, it's easy to bench a QB and hard to get rid of a coach (in most cases). On the other hand, Shuler was one of the biggest busts ever. I kind of think they carry equal weight. Both college products with proven records and both flopped when they came to the pros.
