RIP Tony. Probably one of the best pure hitters the game has ever seen. Way too soon.

Anyone know any decent/reasonably priced hotels near Wrigley Field? My Dad, brother-in-law, and I are flying to Chicago next weekend to catch the Nats' double header against the Cubs.

Also, this will be my first time in Chicago, so any other suggestions are welcome. We'll probably spend most of Sat at Wrigleyville, but any thoughts for Friday night?

Easily one of my favorite professional athletes of all time and a genuinely really nice guy. The world lost a good one yesterday. RIP Mr. Padre.

Damn I didn't even realize Gwynn was sick. .338 career batting avg is just nuts. RIP to one of the greats.

Best pure hitter I've ever seen. You could dump Gwynn in any baseball era and he'd hit .300. Always had tons of respect for Gwynn (and Hoffman) staying with the same (sh*tty) team their whole careers. Great ballplayer and a class act.
