NC_Skins 07-09-2014, 10:25 AM Yeah I'm not seeing it either. Plenty of folks would have been duped in the same spot as Williams. Not sure how that makes him a DB.
What? I'm talking about the the guy faking being a marine is the douche bag, not Williams.

Sorry it wasn't clear who you were talking about.
KI Skins Fan 07-09-2014, 03:05 PM Whenever I think of new stadiums being built, I think of this (http://m.espn.go.com/general/story?storyId=11109705&city=dallas&src=desktop&rand=ref~%7B%22ref%22%3A%22https%3A%2F%2Fwww.googl e.com%2F%22%7D). Just pathetic that a high school would spend 60 million on a stadium, only to find out they hired an architect that designed a stadium with structural problems.
You should have ended your sentence after the bolded part. I could hardly believe what I was reading when this clown stated: "This district did everything it should have done with regards to this stadium," Allen Superintendent Lance Hindt said Thursday, according to KXAS-TV. "This is not a black eye, I've said that from the beginning, for Allen ISD, nor a black eye for the city of Allen."
Did everything right? The damn thing should have never been contemplated, much less built! Sixty million dollars of education money spent on a high school stadium? That is insane! Just think what the school district could have done with that money if it were used for something like, you know, education. That's the black eye, Lance, you stupid shit!

Yeah, it seems outrageous, but Allen is a fairly wealthy area, and lately they've invested in some new sports facilities as well as a retail/office complex in order to encourage more population growth in the area. A new stadium for the high school football team makes a ton of sense, especially since high school football is so popular in Texas.

This stadium is very impressive. I live in TX and have been there for a Friday night game. TX high school football is for real and is treated like a major event all across the state.
Oh, and yes, Allen has some VERY wealthy residents and this was a piss in the wind to build.

I hope you didn't go there in support of the visiting team. Because that very likely means you went home disappointed. :cheeky:
SFREDSKIN 07-09-2014, 09:57 PM If players on the team have Chris Neild's attitude they will kick ass this year. Love that guy!!

And to think I thought the High Schools I attended were big shots when they installed field turf and video screens. My only problem with the field turf is since a lot of High Schools have Football share with Spring sports like Lacrosse and Soccer that the lines for all sports are on the field year round. I imagine running across a field marked for Football isn't exactly a picnic for Soccer and LAX players either.

Though from what I can tell the basic outlines for LAX and Soccer are much lighter during football season.
Part of the reason I was pissed at the Redskins after the Seahawks playoff game was that virtually every High School in the area that I attended had installed field turf while one of the richest sport franchises in the world was dragging their feet with poorly maintained natural grass.
Also speaking of video screens:

Jimmy Graham deemed tight end in system arbitration - NFL.com (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000363018/article/jimmy-graham-deemed-tight-end-in-system-arbitration)
I've thought this for a while now that the Franchise system needs to be tweaked a bit into more broad categories
Quarterbacks
Skilled Players - Running Back, Wide Receiver, Tight End, Fullback
Defensive Front 7 - DE, DT, ILB, MLB, OLB
Defensive Backs - CB, S
Specialists - K, P, LS

That wouldn't be fair to the positions in each category that are more valuable than the rest of their group; WR's and CB's, for example. The reason being, teams would just franchise their top WR/CB/3-4 OLB/other examples and make them play every year under the franchise tag at a less-than-market-value salary and with no way to escape, except for a holdout.
I still think the best option is to begin designating new positions.
