Obviously the definition of truth is being twisted just slightly.
Prediction time! the Pre PreSeason Prediction threadMTK 08-01-2014, 10:34 AM Obviously the definition of truth is being twisted just slightly. KI Skins Fan 08-01-2014, 11:01 AM Sometimes the truth hurts. I grew up in Washington, D.C., so I'm not used to hearing the truth. :joke: BTW, here's something from Rich Tandler's blog that you and over the mountain ought to know: —It appears that the Redskins running game will be very similar—perhaps identical—to what we’ve seen the past couple of years with a few power runs sprinkled in. Trent Williams likes the continuity. “I think that just goes to show you how football savvy [Jay Gruden] is,” he said. “All coaches preach to guys that you’ve got to be unselfish and do what’s good for the team, and I think that is the biggest example right there. It’s just showing that he can come in and adapt and play to our strengths, even though he is a new head coach.” KI Skins Fan 08-01-2014, 11:06 AM Obviously the definition of truth is being twisted just slightly. "That depends on what your definition of 'is' is." - Bill Clinton SirLK26 08-01-2014, 11:44 AM If we lose to Houston in week one with Ryan Fitzpatrick I might just break something. EARTHQUAKE breaking something isn't as worrisome as Watt, Clowney, Mercilus, or Cushing breaking something... Anyway, Fitzpatrick is a solid vet with some good receivers to throw to now. And if Foster's healthy, he'll have a top-5ish back helping him out. I think the Texans will be a solid team. irish 08-01-2014, 12:36 PM Obviously the definition of truth is being twisted just slightly. I didnt think I was twisting the truth. The thread asked for my prediction and I gave it and I thought I was being an optimist. The only way this team is better than last year is if RG plays better (which I think he will) and why I think they will double last year's win total. I think, not only does Griffin play better, but we don't see a team that throws in the towel in November and December like last year's team did. The Minnesota game is a case in point, where we were winning the game, but came out in the 2nd half and just folded. I don't know the exact reasons, I doubt it's all Shanahan, but I believe Gruden and the Skins don't lose that game. And December was laughable, you knew the team had left the building. So, imo, you can't just say a healthy Griffin is worth double last year's win totals, because last year's losses weren't always due to on the field causes (even though the symptoms were clearly bad play) irish 08-01-2014, 01:21 PM Predictions are not facts therefore they aren't truths. Plus Shanny knew he was gone so I think it was a perfect storm for the team to just play out the string and head into the off-season. I agree that JG at least wont give up since he's trying to make his bones as a HC. That and a healthy RG are the reasons I think they double their win total. |
