In his press confrence bugel said that they use the TE in this system as essentially a 3rd tackle rarely catching a pass, where as the H back is the guy catching passes essentially an all around player, the question is, would this be the way winslow should and could be used, I guess the guy's talented enough to do just about anything offensively, but would this really maximize his talent's and if not it's defiently not worth drafting him at #5, as for william's comment's it sound's like to me the way he interchanges the defensive scheme's and has guy's all over the place, would make me think he's salavating to get a player like taylor in his defense, as well it sound's like to me that william's would be able to really maximize taylor's abilities in his defense, IMO he would maximize his production BIG TIME! I think that's what we are lining up to do, drafting taylor!

I read somewhere that even though the Skins matched the offer for Bryan Johnson, they may still try to trade him. Here's an idea, how about getting a 4th rounder for him, then sending the 4th and our 5th and NEXT year's 1st to Detriot or Cleveland for their 1st this year and drafting BOTH Winslow, Jr. and Taylor? Then our Superbowl team is complete. Just an idea. :twocents:

I don't know if we have enough cap room to accomplish signing two first rounders. Maybe if Trotter's trade inquiries are successful...

There is NO way Detroit or Cleveland would give up a top-10 pick for NEXT year's 1st and a 4th and 5th this year... no way. BUT... good thinking... that'd be a good plan if it had a chance of happening.

Seriously. Can you imagine how pissed you'd be if our FO pulled a move like that? In the old days they used to tar-and-feather people for lesser offenses.

I'd expect that most of what the coaches are saying is a smoke screen to mask our draft strategy, so Bugel may have been trying to fool people or (more likely) he let one slip there. I hope no one moves up to steal Taylor from us.

From what I've read in other places so far, the real threat to jump us and grab Taylor were the Lions, and they just picked up Brock Marion.

I was surprised at that contract...he is getting old. They might use him to mentor taylor. BUT Detriot has yet to address their running back needs. (Shawn Bryson aside) Mariucci's best succes was when Hearst and Garner were really running well. I see them going RB.

I wouldn't mind Winslow but with the Johnson offer matched I doubt he's gonna be here. I dislike the Taylor move because I like Ohalate at safety and he's improved every game he's been out there.

Ohalate has improved but look what he has done compared to what Roy Williams and Ed Reed have done. Or what Todd Heap and Shockey did. Winslow or Taylor would be a huge upgrade. I watched all of the Canes games last year and I cant say enough about those two. If you dont know much about Taylor know this, becuase of him alone VT threw less than five passes against the Canes and in general teams hardly threw against the Canes. Winslow is a complete player, hes got as good of hands as Fitzgerald in my opinion but how many times did you see Fitzergald level a LB on a sweep.
