Funny, we don't want Robert to run, don't want him in a read option offense, we want him to be a better pocket passer but nobody wants the growing pains associated with making that transition.

Right?

My favorite criticism from last night is that he didn't run more when he had the chance, which comes off a week of demanding he slide and stop taking hits.

my concerns after last night:
some of the injuries. i hope they're not significant, though I haven't seen any news on them (haven't looked much)

the o line didn't win one on one match ups the way i would have liked to have seen. it's just preseason with vanilla offense, so i don't want to get carried away with that.

liking the younger guys. liking that they're all going to be backups. this is how you build a team. it doesn't mean you automatically get a ring, but drafting this way and having young guys that seem to have potential sitting on the roster to grow/mature as nfl players gives you the best chance.

Joe Theismann says Kirk Cousins has been better at QB than Robert Griffin III - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11401233/joe-theismann-says-kirk-cousins-better-qb-robert-griffin-iii)

Man, the one time Theismann isn't praising every Redskins player on earth and he's gotta call out RG3? Kinda wish Theismann would retire already, never been a fan of his.

Him not taking hits was one of the best things he did last night. However, not sure why it takes him 50 yards to decelerate so he runs his knee into the bench. Seems to be exaggerated like a lot of what he does.

Not only did he miss a wide open Reed for what would have been a HUGE gain, he locked in on our weakeast receiving option (Morris) who had tight coverage. Bottom line, Cousins sees the field, Griffin doesn't. For the first time, I'm coming to realize that he may never progress as a pocket passer, and that's a scary thought. Could be another lost season.

He actually went through three reads. At the time when he checked Reed he was covered still. Not saying he should have went with Morris however he really didn't have time to switch back to Reed.

He had last season to develop as a pocket passer,i no it doesn't happen overnight but he has shown no improvement whatsoever
On top of that his decision-making sucks, he doesn't have the speed anymore when he runs outside the pocket and takes the sack running out of bounds when he should be throwing it away
His best pass of the night was out of the read option when he faked the handoff and do it straight down the middle, and that seems to be the only pass he can complete over 10 yards in the air besides the long bomb, he doesn't have to think about anything on that play and is very decisive
I really want him to succeed but in my heart I think he is going to turn out to be another Vince Young
