It's a little odd how one of the biggest mantras I've heard on this board and from Redskins Nation as a whole over the last few years is that our offensive line is bad and needs to be improved. Now suddenly, it's all on Griffin and he's the reason the line looks bad. Yeah, he does make the line look worse(that's a part of the game for any QB like Griffin), but it sucks with or without him. If the line doesn't get better, Griffin will never improve and any other QB we draft will go through the same thing.
You can't be the #2 overall pick, have had multiple draft picks traded for you, play in a system designed for quick releases, be "renowned" for your mobility...and not carry any of the blame for the team's offensives struggles. You just can't

Jamies Winston ain't looking so bad right now, is he?
early scouting reports seem to have him as an NFL ready qb with a lot of upside .... if we draft him i will turn to the purple and black in a heart beat and not look back.

How those rape allegations going?

I've said it for a few months now, but if the Skins end up drafting Winston, which would shock me, then I'd pretty much be done as a fan of the team. I'm not saying I'd jump ship and go all in on another team, I would just barely pay any attention to the NFL. As things are now that might already happen.

So what happened his first year? Did the read-option fool people so bad that he only had to hit one read? That's the part that makes me sad. I thought no one can fake setting NFL rookie records for accuracy, but he just might have.
First credit Griffin's athleticism. The threat of the run greatly diminished the pass rush. Beyond that? Credit the Shanahans for designing something he could execute.
But don't credit them for developing him, he obviously hasn't developed at all.

I don't think he is denying his culpability. He may not understand the extent of it, but I have never gotten the sense he doesn't look to himself for improvement first.

i believe cosell. he was on espn radio the other day .. sd winston is nfl ready, can make reads, move in the pocket and can back peddle to buy a little more time but still throw a 35 yard strike.
sd it is rare for a QB to be able to back peddle and still have flawless mechanics. sd only rogers can do it now, peyton used to be able to but cant any more.
dont hold me to it being cosell but it was someone i respect.
