Rotten1980 11-23-2014, 09:23 PM The defense played up to 95% of its potential today. Hasletts best game maybe? The offense might be at 50% of its potential. Offensive line is garbage and neither RG/Gruden have what it takes to overcome it. RG was tough as nails today and I noticed cbs showed a lot of his WRs covered downfield. The only pass play where he had time was the early bomb to Jackson, perfect throw but Jackson bobbled it. Not many QBs can make those throws.
dDiscipline on offense is still abysmal, illegal formations and false starts and poor performance especially across the oline.
CRedskinsRule 11-23-2014, 09:38 PM As far as Griffin goes, its always darkest before the dawn - so it had better start dawning on him pretty quickly cuz these last two games were pretty dark.

We could allow him experience the rest of year - but suspect that will eventually lead to losing the locker room, unhappy WRs, and coach losing everyone. Wouldn't be surprised if we traded Griffin in offseason, although I could see us doing a prove-it last year of contract given low-risk and very few other QB options.
Questions:
1) How did P.Thomas play - I didn't get a chance to see much of him except fumble recovery.
2) What exactly did Amerson do to violate team rules? Seems strange to handicap the team on a big game like this, unless it was a big deal..

David Amerson did not play for the Washington Redskins in their 17-13 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday because he missed at least part of a team meeting late last week, according to two people with knowledge of the situation.
It’s unclear whether Amerson, one of the Redskins’ two starting cornerbacks, was not present for the start of the meeting or missed it altogether. Coach Jay Gruden confirmed Amerson broke a team rule but did not share what he did when asked, saying only that “it’s just an in-house deal.”

SFREDSKIN 11-23-2014, 10:20 PM Count me as one who won't give up on RGIII, Moses really didn't help his cause, they play one of the best defenses (if not the best in the NFL). Last year he was rushed back when he should have sat the 1st 5 games, this year he got hurt early and is learning to play out of the pocket. I know he's been horrible in some games, the FO gave up a lot for him and I say gamble and bring him back for next year. OL should be better with Moses and Long with a year under their belt, if necessary draft an OL or G with their draft pick. I would trade back and pick up more picks next year.

I can't answer this question because the line seems to be at least kinda decent when anyone without the name Griffin III on their jersey is QBing.
I don't remember the line being so awful when McCoy or even when Cousins was back there. Was the oline worlds better? Hell no, but they were at least you know, not looking confused and shit.
That's part of the reason why I wanna see more McCoy. If McCoy can get back there and put up 200+ yards and a couple of TDs a game at minimum, then I'd feel the fault would lay more on RG3 than the line. If McCoy gets back there and is running for his life, getting sacked, throwing INTs, then we kill 2 birds with one stone; McCoy and the line sucks as well and maybe RG3 is just a scapegoat for a bigger issue.

I'm officially on the "time to get a new gm and yank personel decisions from bruce" track. Let him do the contracts, look for a new stadium and fight the name change duties. But fuck him and his choices. Time to bring in a new gm

Starting McCoy may help in the short run, but do you really think he is the long term answer? We have to find out if Gruden can turn RG3 into a true WCO quarterback.
