I think that he feels Kirk needs to sit and learn right now and start fresh with him next off season.
I totally get your point though.
Makes sense, his confidence was clearly shot.

Also... people are forgetting how God-awful our offense looked in the first half of that Dallas game...
The 4th quarter, 2 drives, and a win make Colt look incredible... but again, I say... He had 1 whole touchdown and 1 interception in 2 games played...
The only Redskins QB to light up the scoreboard and hit DeSean deep this year is Cousins... I believe that Colt is starting because Jay HATES, I mean strongly HATES turnovers by his QB... and Colt will be a game manager who won't lose the game... but Cousins moves this offense and puts more points up than any other QB we have
Also... I think it's Colt over Cousins right now because Jay thinks Colt gives us the best chance to win right at this moment... and he feels like he NEEDS the wins. Us fans don't mind losing from here on to get that great high draft pick (that we will just waste... ha)...
but Jay is in his first Head Coaching job in the NFL, trying to live up to his brother's legacy, and sitting at 3-8... so I guess I understand why Colt... but man, I still say Cousins is the best move for the next 5 games to get clear gauge on the future... let's say it's yours from here out... no pressure... and see how he plays...
i agree with all that you said. I think given the choice - cousins long ball alone compared to colt should make him the starter and i couldnt figure out why colt was getting the nod until you said what i bolded ...
i think you are spot on .. its all about the turnovers. with this team, our margin for victory is nominal .. in jay's pressers lately he has been harping on turning around our horrendous turnover ratio ... i think cousins could benefit from playing here now but jay HATES turnovers so he goes with colt .. .

Endless cycle. Aren't him and bruce basically drinking buddies? This franchise...
They're definitely better friends than Dan and Vinny ever were

I'm on that list of the "yes" but that poll isn't as cut and dry. You can approve of the trade due to the player, but not the value they gave up. I clearly have stated repeatedly that it was too much to give for one player that wasn't a sure thing, and that I would have never made that trade. If RGIII were at the spot we were originally, I would have been ecstatic about selecting him due to his potential.
i think you are right. a ton of people voted yes .... and a ton of those same posters thought it was way too much at the same time.

I don't know how DS ever made money in any business. Did he surround himself with lackeys and yes men every where he goes? That seems like a recipe for disaster.

Live noon sports center lead with pictures of all 8 rams players that were traded for rg3. I almost went hulk style on my 47 inch tv. Just wanted to rip it off the wall and through it out my bay window
Been following the NFL for 45 years, it seems to me almost every time the team trading multiple picks for a player comes out the big loser. Someone show an example of the opposite where a player was well worth multiple high draft picks.

Kyle wanted Manning and Tannehill/Foles to develop behind him
Mike liked Cousins
Both liked RG3 but did not want to mortgage so much for him
People in the organization pushed Snyder hard (and he in turn pushed Shanny) on the idea that RG3 would be great for the team on the field...but perhaps more importantly off the field
But how many times have I told you there are non-football people in the organization with way too much influence over what football decisions the team makes
This is better than it's been, but it's still a major, major issue
What non football are you talking about? Is it Snyder's minority partners? Schar or Fred Smith? Tanya Snyder? Lol.

Every time Snyder gets rid of friends, he just replaces them with other friends
He needs to hire people that basically don't like him and don't care what he thinks. Guys like, oh I don't know, Marty Schottenheimer
Hey are these the same people leaking stuff?
