All things Redskins training campHog1 08-05-2015, 06:16 PM I suspect it will look much different since SM's arrival.......... DYoungJelly 08-05-2015, 06:49 PM Phillip Thomas and injuried CB Tevin Mitchell both cut Dreqan Hoskey CB signed. I believe another CB was signed...dont know who Any reports on the details of the Mitchell cut? EDIT: Nm. It was an injury waiver. SirLK26 08-05-2015, 07:05 PM <snip> Hopefully we can lock up pot roast after this season as well as AM and TW. Trent would def be our franchise tag guy if we had to go that route Don't forget Keenan Robinson. More important than Morris IMO. Any reports on the details of the Mitchell cut? EDIT: Nm. It was an injury waiver. Redskins cut former draft pick Phillip Thomas, waive Tevin Mitchel - Washington Redskins Blog - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/blog/washington-redskins/post/_/id/18687/redskins-cut-former-draft-pick-phillip-thomas-waive-tevin-mitchel) If Mitchel, a sixth-round pick, goes unclaimed off waivers, he reverts to the Redskins' injured reserve list. He can be brought back after passing through waivers. Considering he's out for the season with a torn labrum in his right shoulder, it's hard to imagine another team claiming him. I did not know this before. artmonkforhallofamein07 08-05-2015, 08:25 PM Surprised they didnt look at drafting a mlb this year. There must be some faith in Compton. Riley's deal is up after this year as well correct or does he have one more? Keenan will be a priority as well but let's make sure he can make it one more year with out ir. NC_Skins 08-05-2015, 09:09 PM Redskins try Brandon Scherff at guard with Morgan Moses at tackle - Washington Redskins Blog - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/blog/washington-redskins/post/_/id/18691/redskins-try-brandon-scherff-at-guard-with-morgan-moses-at-tackle) Playing around with Moses at RT and Scherff at guard. If Moses can hold it down, I'd make that move. Chico23231 08-05-2015, 09:22 PM Redskins try Brandon Scherff at guard with Morgan Moses at tackle - Washington Redskins Blog - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/blog/washington-redskins/post/_/id/18691/redskins-try-brandon-scherff-at-guard-with-morgan-moses-at-tackle) Playing around with Moses at RT and Scherff at guard. If Moses can hold it down, I'd make that move. I had heard that Moses had been the surprise so far, didn't expect this move this quick. Good to see IMO. Like Callahan said, nothing set yet... NC_Skins 08-05-2015, 09:34 PM 2013 Draft Picks: 2nd: D. Amerson - Still with us and likely to make the roster, but only as the 4th corner. May be his last year. 3rd: J. Reed - Could be great except that he is as frail as his name. 4th: P. Thomas - Nope. Just nope. 5th: Chris Thompson - Maybe he makes the team. Maybe he's out of football. 5th: Brandon Jenkins - They told us he was a steal. Turns out he wasn't. Out of football. 6th: Baccari Rambo - Best thing about him was his name. His cleats are still in the turf where Chris Johnson juked him out of them. 7th: Jawan Jamison - Who? Out of football. So, from the draft two years ago, we have a back-up corner & RB (both of whom may have topped out), and a really good but oft-injured TE. Yay! :Flush: :laughing2 That is fucking pathetic. Hoping for a better future. Bucket 08-06-2015, 12:33 AM Pittsburgh's Brown rises to top, Detroit's Johnson falls some - Eric Karabell Blog - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/blog/eric-karabell-football/insider/post?id=3263) Rated Garcon and Jackson 6th Tier WR's. That's just insane if you ask me. You switch them with any other 2 WR's in the TIER one category with those QB's throwing them the ball and they would both be hall of famers. Skinzman 08-06-2015, 02:46 AM Pittsburgh's Brown rises to top, Detroit's Johnson falls some - Eric Karabell Blog - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/blog/eric-karabell-football/insider/post?id=3263) Rated Garcon and Jackson 6th Tier WR's. That's just insane if you ask me. You switch them with any other 2 WR's in the TIER one category with those QB's throwing them the ball and they would both be hall of famers. Its fantasy rankings, they are taking into account the QB, as well as the OL and the defense, since that will give the offense the ball back quicker giving them a chance at more points. So yeah, give them the QB's that the top tiers have, and they would be rated much higher. Fantasy ratings arent rating the individual, they are rating their expected production on the team they play for. If someone is rating RG3/KC/McCoy as a high rated QB, then their ratings as WR's would go up as well. But since that isnt happening any time soon, its low fantasy rankings for our WR's. Also, only DJ was rated as a 6th tier, Garcon was down into the double digit tiers. DYoungJelly 08-06-2015, 11:22 AM Redskins try Brandon Scherff at guard with Morgan Moses at tackle - Washington Redskins Blog - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/blog/washington-redskins/post/_/id/18691/redskins-try-brandon-scherff-at-guard-with-morgan-moses-at-tackle) Playing around with Moses at RT and Scherff at guard. If Moses can hold it down, I'd make that move. He came in last year and didn't suck. Considering where he was drafted he played ok very quickly. He wasn't expected to contribute at all last year. The man is huge. I like the buzz out of camp that the combination of the best 5 are going to play even if it means switching things around. |
