Any chance of this happening?

Now, if we were to package some of our players such as Trotter, Gardner, Candidate, Betts, etc etc etc. Not all of these guys, but maybe two or three of our decent, but not critical players, and next year's first (and maybe 2nd) could we get another top 10 pick this year? Just curious!

How would you feel if the Redskins pulled a move like that? I'd be pissed ... and I doubt there's a GM in the league who'd want to face the wrath of his fans by trading out of the deepest draft in years for an uncertain 2005 first rounder plus a few average players. Mike Ditka might have done it but he's gone.

Only if a GM was high on crack would he agree to such a trade.

I think that we could possibly attach a 6th round draft pick to Trotter and then some team might actually be interested in giving us a 3rd round pick. However, we would be sacrificing the opportunity to have 2 draft picks in order to get a 3rd rounder. :frusty: hard one to think about.

I don't know about that, gardner, trung, trotter, and pick's next year? if I was in a rebuilding mode and needed a lot of bodies I would look hard at that deal, they all have talent and thier all young, they are guy's who a coach may feel in the right system could really flurish. These player's may not fit in to our plan's, albeit, are not scrub's either,

I can see Trung, Gardner and Trotter in a deal for 2nd and 3rd round picks, but you won't approach a 1st rounder without sacrificing too much next year and we've already lost one pick next year for Thrash.
