They fired that crew last year, it's part of the game and we have some shitty luck.
I just like to throw heads on the chopping block.
Gotta wonder if DJax will be resigned next season consider how much time he's spent out. Might wanna look to draft a WR next year.

.......Missing vol workouts?
......To busy with Reality show to condition?
That was my gut reaction too.
In reality, it's hard to tell how much of what contributed to the strain.
The fast twitch track guys are always dealing with hamstring soreness.

Seriously doubt it he will be back after his contract is up.

seeing that ball overhead was probably the first time he really went into 5th gear in months, that tends to bring on the hamstring pulls/tears. missing the offseason probably contributed, but you can never tell for sure.

These hammy injuries are crazy. Who is our conditioner? He needs to be fired stat.
No. I think Djax problem was he was really not available all camp and preseason. For a guy who runs a 4.2 and can get to that high speed. It is important to keep your body use to it.
Looks to me he hit that speed of his for the first time in 3 months or so when the ball was above him and popped his hammy. Shame too because that was a TD.
Good news is. Ross is going to get his chance nown and ND he's great at kick returns

We need a guy who can stretch the field...its def not grant or garçon. Sounds like to me gruden needs to get crowder or Ross to play this role. Get them ready gruden, can't sit back on your hands and say oh well.
I agree with you. Ross will be active this week. If Crowder and Ross can step up we might be OK for 3-4 weeks until DJax can return.

It kind of boggles the mind how the Jackson injury basically changed our offense. You don't see this with other teams.
Look at Dallas against the Giants. Dez Bryant was out for most of the game, the guy who is their deep threat and world-beater WR, but you didn't see their pass offense go into a shell and suddenly decide they were just going to dink and dunk their way around. Nope, they called the next guy up and continued to press down the field with downfield passing.
No one is going to replace Jackson at this point, but you can't concede the vertical passing game and give up an entire aspect of the offense, you have to get the next fastest guy on the roster and have him run those routes.
No team in the NFL has interchangeable parts at Djax's level
And yes, they all alter their game plan as a result.
Rebuilding conjures images like.....unfinished product? still working hard on staffing? Cautious conservative game planning? Don't have all the pieces yet? Sound reasonable?

Ross has elite speed. I don't know about his route running and pass catching skills but he can force safetys to play deep. Antwan Goodley, undrafted out of Baylor this year worked with the Cowboys and could be a viable pickup if we need to add another receiver, especially later in the season. Two other guys I'd like to look at are WR Austin Pettis and TE David Paulson. Dante Rosario could be a blocking TE that I'd take a look at as well.
