Karlos Williams cut by Buffalo Bills (http://was.247sports.com/Bolt/Report-Karlos-Williams-cut-by-Buffalo-Bills-46870079)
Hope it's a wake up call for him, things must be really bad if Rex cuts you, he's usually very forgiving of his guys.

Gruden said Matt Jones out rest of preseason
Redskins coach Jay Gruden says UDFA Rob Kelley will get "a lot" of first-team reps in Matt Jones' (shoulder) preseason absence.
Seventh-rounder Keith Marshall will get "some," according to the Washington Post. It's become crystal clear that Kelley has moved past Marshall on the depth chart, and will begin the season as Jones' primary handcuff. That makes him worth a last-round flier in re-draft leagues. Kelley has 10 carries for 48 yards and a touchdown through two preseason games.
Looks like Kelley is clearly ahead of Marshall.

Here's how good ol' PFF ranked our RB Group against the rest of the NFL's RB Groups one month ago:
"32. Washington Redskins
Starter: Matt Jones
Backup: Chris Thompson
Key stat: Matt Jones recorded the eighth-best elusive rating of any rookie last year.
Washington was nearly a unanimous decision for the bottom spot among PFF analysts; there’s not much at all to get excited about with this group. The Redskins’ offensive line was much-improved in 2015, but the running backs continually let them down with poor reads and little creativity. Chris Thompson and Matt Jones posted the 55th- and 66th-best overall grades among NFL RBs, respectively, among 69 qualifying running backs."
The good news is that we didn't fall any in the rankings after Matt Jones was injured. The bad news is that's because we were already ranked last.
It's time that we all start to recognize that we are in a predicament at RB. and something meaningful needs to be done about it soon. We are in deep shit and it isn't "Chicken Little" shit. It's real.
Even if Matt Jones makes it back for the opener, we still need another RB who can get it done between the tackles. Chris Thompson can't do it. A 7th round rookie or or a UDFA rookie aren't going to do it. And you can be sure that Matt Jones will be hurt again and miss some time during the season. Matt can't be expected to carry the load himself, anyway.
If we wait until cuts are made, there's no guarantee that will be able to pick up a player who gets cut. Street FA's aren't just hanging around waiting until the Redskins call them. They can sign with any team. It seems to me that SM should be making a trade for a useful RB in the next couple of weeks.

Its looking more and more like Hillman will get cut in Denver . . . he might not be too bad . . . i also hear that kniles Davis from KC is available for pretty cheap . . . another i wouldn't mind seeing here.

Chiefs' Knile Davis: Improving receiving skills
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Davis, who's struggled in the past catching the ball out of the backfield, has improved in that area during the offseason, Terez A. Paylor of the Kansas City Star reports.
Davis caught a pass on a wheel route during practice that opened some eyes and special teams coach Dave Toub indicated that he remains the team's No. 1 kick returner despite the presence of De'Anthony Thomas and Tyreek Hill. The fourth-year back out of Arkansas has also worked as a cover guy on punt returns, something that could keep him on the 53-man roster as a fourth-string running back if he proves effective in that role."
I'd much prefer Davis. At 227 pounds, he's bigger than Hillman. He may be faster than Hillman, as well. He also has proven himself on ST, as has Hillman.
Irrefutable

Davis averaged 2.6 ypc in 2015 and 3.3 for his career... no thanks.... KC might have other RBs worth considering
Hillman, maybe

I'd see what Tennessee would want for David Cobb. New gm went out and got Murray and Henry...6th round pick would probably work
