i sold my car on craigslist, we met at a walmart parking lot in the early afternoon. i had a buddy backing me up, it went smoothly.
i never feel safe with large amounts of cash. la county does not allow concealed carry, orange county does.

Hey mred, when you sell of craiglist, do you usually meet at your residence or like a safe area...? im considering craiglist on some items and then move them to eBay if not getting the interest.
I have folks come to my house. I have a busy hood do the transaction outside. Never had an issue.once though I bought on c list some toys for my kid. This lady invites me in her house we go all the way upstairs and get the stuff. I pay and leave. Then I think damn that was super dangerous on her part, invite a stranger in with just you and your kid home.

Have you guys ever thought about selling your stuff on a Facebook Yard Sale page? That seems to be the more popular option in my neck of the woods than eBay or Craig's List.

Have done it many times before, but one thing I've noticed is get ready for people to offer you yard sale prices too. I was selling a laptop that was pretty decent for $150, guy writes me saying, "Well, on eBay they're listed at $40, so I'll offer you $30." Then buy it on eBay then bitch! Seriously though, people will definitely offer you a lot less even if you say firm on the price, so be ready for that. People seem to think eBay is a comparison point even if the item isn't selling at that price.
