I think we can win without Trent for a week but without him and Norman? That would be hard

In a way I can't fault Joneses fumble in the endzone. He's been challenged by his coach to run like a 230lb RB and not a pussy, his extra effort in trying to score cause the fumble. This will be a lesson to him to just go down, he's not the 1st or last RB to fumble in the endzone due to extra effort.

Right guard Brandon Scherff and cornerback Bashaud Breeland also suffered injuries but later returned to the game. Scherff suffered an AC sprain on his left shoulder in the second quarter, but he returned to the game on Washington’s opening drive in the second half despite dealing with soreness.

“The trainers have numbing medicine that they used,” Scherff said. “They just numbed it up, and we were ready to go.”
Breeland missed a handful of plays because he tweaked his right ankle in the second half, but he returned to the game on the following drive. He said he rolled his ankle after he was pushed off, but he knew he had to stay in the game when the Redskins had already lost Norman.

“I wanted to win the game,” Breeland said. “I don’t like letting my team down. One corner already went down. It’s no room for both of us to go down in that type of game. My mind-set was to play through it.”

- Schreff and Bree are tough SOBs.

The injuries going forward kinda scare me.

Trent Williams has been LP for the first day or two of practice every week (I thought for hip?) but this knee injury could take longer than 2 weeks (London-bye).

Josh Norman concussion might mean he will be out for the Bengals game as well. Apparently he left the locker room with sunglasses, fwiw. It appears that Norman has a concussion history - had one last season and missed 2 games in 2014. He might have had more. This article from last year just talks about 2.

Looks like Gruden is going to start Jones at RB next week. That pretty much kills any faith I have in Gruden as a head coach. Good coaches don't allow this shit to continue as it has with Jones and his fumbling. Good coaches instill discipline and correction within a team. Gruden doesn't have it.

Ty is a great backup LT, we will be ok plus the bengals pass rush isn't very good. Other than at geno who do they have?

Jay is a players coach and that's a good thing sometimes and that's y he wants Jones to start because he shows faith and trust

I would imagine that just sitting on the bench wouldn't necessarily help Jones with his ball security issues. However, I doubt Jones sees the same number of snaps or carries the bulk of the workload at RB. Unless Jones drastically improves, this may be come a RB by committee.

Joe Gibbs takes Matt Jones out and he never plays again. He would rather let Chris Baker run the ball, rather than Jones.

Sure the defense wasn't great the last drive...but overall holding a team to 20 points on the road isn't bad.

We had like 415 yards of offense...25 first downs? or something like that. We should have scored more than 17 points

Exactly. Not to mention the fumble on the two was not taking just 3 off the board but potentially 7. We dominated the stat sheet. It does not matter if our d was bad on the last drive or the first drive, they played well enough (on the road) to win. Only stat we didn't dominate was turnovers. That is what sealed the deal. You are 110% correct.

Dude the effort was not 4th and goal from the one. Than you extend your arms. From where Jones was going down , unless his arms were 7 feet long , you do not extend the ball and put it in a vulnerable position. Especially on second down!
That is 1000 percent on Jones. Come on man.
