Hoping this thread isn't just dedicated for your special ladies, so if it is I'll quietly move along. If it isn't and this is just a general Christmas gifts kinda thread, here we go. Every year me and select family members like to get each other gag gifts, just because it's better than trying to get something meaningful and you end up screwing it up for some reason.

For instance, this year for my sister and my BIL I am getting them a dragon sex calendar, which you can see here:
2017 Dragon Sex Calendar (http://www.dragonsexcalendar.com/)

For my brother and my dad and my BIL I am getting 3 separate Nicholas Cage pillowcases, like this one here:
https://www.amazon.com/Custom-Nicolas-Pillowcase-Standard-Design/dp/B00EZ3WO8O/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1479339060&sr=8-2&keywords=nicholas+cage+pillow+cases

I actually love this idea, especially for in-laws. I hate to say it, but my family doesn't know my wife and her family doesn't really know me (well). We usually end up taking back everything each other's families give to us. This might be a good idea.

Actually got basketball tickets last night for my parents...VCU game in January. Cool to have parents that are sports fans.

As long as you understand their sense of humor you'd probably be alright. I wouldn't even bother wasting my time with certain family members that would probably be upset if they got some joke gift. For those people I usually ask straight up what they want, even though I am relatively stable I know they don't have money to waste and would rather just get something they need.

Good call on this... I'm terrible at picking out for my wife.

Does your significant other like shoes/flip flops? I can never go wrong with those and I bought her a pair of Rainbows last year that she absolutely loves:

https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=rainbow+flip+flops

This company is pretty cool too. If your shoes EVER wear out, just mail them back in for a replacement...

The Mrs. is a school teacher (kindergarten 25 years) she is getting Ugg boots and lined clogs from Berkenstock she is all about comfort. Her nickname is MotherNature she always has the kids outside doing something ,she has a chicken coup at school with about 4 chickens point is she always ask for something others would think strange ,this year she is also getting and portable electric drill.Add in some gift cards to different places, she gets what she wants.

May I add LL,Bean is very good with their shoes and flip flops ,they have a "life time guarantee".I can verify too if anyone interested.

Learned this from my Dad, keep a list throughout the year. When the wife mentions that she likes something, make a note. At the end of they year you'll have plenty of good ideas.

this could be for "us" but it's really for her. we got a smart tv over the summer and i mounted our old 720p on the wall in our bedroom.

she loves watching all these british shows on netflix, i've just been hooking up the smart blu-ray player that we have - so she can watch in the bedroom.

i'll get her either the amazon fire stick or the roku streaming stick for xmas. any experience w either?

thanks giantone, i decided on the roku after watching a bunch of comparisons and reviews on youtube. the roku interface is much easier to use and my fiance isn't the most tech savvy individual.

Also, if you do Roku, get the Plex app. If you "acquire" movies like I do, you can stream them right from your home computer to your TV.
