I think Reed lost it because the guy was yanking on his arms. He probably shouldn't have been in the game, because Carolina was probably going to target his injury.

We had our destiny back in our own hands and blew it in an epic way. If we played well and lost, that would be not that bad, but to come out flat in a game with playoff implications isn't good. Having high expectations for a team with a lot of faults is never good. We've won games in spite of our defense, and we've lost games because of our defense. Even the games we won our defense has yet to have a game where they shut down a team. So when a team comes along and shuts down our offense, which is the main reason we win games, our odds of winning decrease to almost nil. Is this team better than it was two years ago? Yes. Is there still room for improvement? Obviously. Have faith in the long term plan. I don't think there's any way McC ignores the defense again this year. And at this point they'll probably bring in a new coordinator just to top it off. FrenchSkin 12-20-2016, 05:26 PM I think Reed lost it because the guy was yanking on his arms. He probably shouldn't have been in the game, because Carolina was probably going to target his injury. That wasn't his injured arm. He did take a cheap shot in his injured shoulder earlier in the game though. skinsfan69 12-20-2016, 05:35 PM Kirk himself has played well enough to win 10-12 games if he had half a defense and a serviceable run game. I do agree with this, but that still isn't an excuse for last night. Basically it looked like he went into John Beck mode after he threw the pick. He did not look like a franchise QB last night at all. Sometimes i just wish the guy had a little more Jamies Winston or Drew Brees in him. What I mean by that is have a more of a I dont give a F if I throw another pick attitude and take more chances. skinsfaninok 12-20-2016, 05:38 PM Kirk's contract will be based on his 2015-16 body of work. An off game here and there won't change anything. Both seasons will have 25 - 29 tds and 10-12 ints. He will get paid FlyerSkin 12-20-2016, 05:44 PM This is pretty much where I am as well. I had a bad feeling we'd lose to them and they certainly lived up to the disappointment. I mean what is with the Monday Night Games....did half the team get sh!tfaced the night before?? Why can't they ever win one of these?? I really think the best possible outcome we could hope for now is to somehow beat the Bears and Giants but still miss the playoffs, so everything ends with some hope for next season. I'd personally rather them not make the playoffs and get embarrassed again to end the season. Let them spend the offseason with these bitter losses to Arizona and Carolina and the stupid tie in London in their mouths that caused them to miss the playoffs, and maybe, just maybe they start the season off next year hungry! There is definitely hope for the 2017 campaign, but from what I had seen last night, we are not a playoff team for 2016. It is almost better to tank to get a higher draft position. punch it in 12-20-2016, 06:02 PM No but his last few performances should keep his price down a bit. Gotcha.... It is almost better to tank to get a higher draft position. Bolded statement is true. The key words being "LAST NIGHT". We can't say we are not a playoffs team based on one bad (awful/ugly/pathetic pick your poison) game. Plenty of not so perfect teams make it to the playoffs every year. If we make it there, then we are a playoffs team. If we make it to the playoffs two years in a row, we can be sure this franchise is heading in the right direction. I still often question the intelligence of most football players, as in common sense / real life shit - and it always gets me why in the F do these guys throw punches at other guys who are fully helmeted. Even Jon Gruden said Reed is basically an idiot he could very easily have broken his hand SolidSnake84 12-20-2016, 06:51 PM Both seasons will have 25 - 29 tds and 10-12 ints. He will get paid I have been a Cousins fan from day 1, think he is a great person and a good football player that has the potential to be great. I do not believe that the Redskins will re-sign him. I do believe that someone is going to happily offer him the money that he wants. I have read the articles like you all have, that mention his possible landing spots for next year if he becomes a FA - Denver, Houston, Cleveland, San Fran, New York Jets, there is going to be no shortage of teams now to go after him and lock him up. |
