17 million is not going to get it done at all. That is just ridiculous. The number one off season priority is re-sign Cousins and if you have to pay him 20 million or a little more then so be it. Look at Cleveland? Chicago? Jets? SF? The guy was close to passing for 5,000 yards. He's not good enough to go out there and win the game with no running game. The team has to get better around him.

Yea...but today was the one that counted. We can also say that the Carolina game would have given us enough wins to get in and he didn't handle that well. The first game or 2 he looked like shit. I don't think it's moronic at all to question if he's a headache that can't win a big game. This is the game that counted for cousins, and he fucking bricked it. Quite literally threw it away. It's fucking moronic to discount that. Stats mean nothing if you can't do your job when it counts.

What about the second Dallas game, the first Philly game, the Green Bay game, Minnesota, Chicago, Cleveland, first New York game, Detroit where he led us on a game winning drive before the defense absolutely collapsed with seconds left, or Cincy with another should have been game wining drive except for a missed fg by Hopkins? If a team will pay him that money then you let him go. Just because another team will make a mistake doesn't mean you should: See Houston.

You don't pay a 19 million QB 25 million dollars. You don't do that in any business.

He's not a young rookie. This could be the best season he'll have, and it wasn't enough, especially in the big games against Carolina or New York.
