It is interesting that the two last OCs for the Redskins were/are the hottest HC candidates. If the 2017 Redskins are another offensive juggernaut, you have to give a lot of props to Gruden.

This game in my opinion was my ideal Super Bowl matchup when the playoffs started...and I'll be pulling for the Falcons all the way. Good defenses such as Denver and Seattle kept the Falcons in the low 20's and Philly held them to just 15 points! so they can be held in check as good as their offense is. It will be interesting to see what Belichick takes away on their offense...will he just shut down Julio, or shut down their running game and take his chances with their secondary play which has been terrific!

I'd like to see Kyle and the ex-Skins get a ring, but I just don't see it. I think Pats win by double digits.

Agreed. Somehow the Patriots have this weird mystique where people have their worst games against them. Their defense is OK, but somehow they'll manage to stop the Falcons.

It's the attention to little details that seems to separate the Patriots from the rest of the league. You really have to play error free to beat the Patriots. It seems like the entire squad, from the coaches down to the waterboy knows exactly the right thing to do at the right time. Such as the kicker kicking the ball short of the goal line to force a run back - which almost always pins the other team deep. Or Brady having the presence of mind to throw the ball away when his center snapped it early. Or, when the defense reacted in a split second to cover a fumble. How many times have we seen a fumble in a Redskins game and no matter how many Redskins defenders you see around the ball, none of them can ever cover the fumble? Of course, it also helps when the zebras tend to call the game in favor of the Pats as well. I saw a little bit of that in the Pittsburgh game.

I have to give it up to New England. They are well coached and they are in a class all of their own. To beat them, Atlanta has to play a perfect game. Not a near perfect game, but a perfect game. It reminds me of how well coached the 49ers and Redskins were in the 80's. Those two teams always seemed to do the little things that made the big differences in the games. Things you never even thought of. Love 'em or hate 'em, that what makes Bill Belichick the evil genuis!
