skinsfaninok 01-16-2018, 09:48 AM Bad news continues for NFL, as Divisional Playoffs ratings fall from previous years (http://awfulannouncing.com/nfl/nfl-divisional-playoffs-reportedly-draw-lowest-ratings-since-2009.html)
wow...I watched all 4, this usually the best football weekend of the year imo.
NFL has a major problem
Well when everyone and their mom knows NE is going to win the SB AGAIN it gets old, Also The Vikings / Saints or Falcons are not huge draws to the nation. Philly has because they have a larger fan base.
Overall the game has gotten weaker and watered down, no more big hits, teams just throw 6 yard passes (Dallas, NE, etc. ) and leagues like the NBA nd MLB Market their stars much better.
The whole kneeling thing didn't help

College Football and the NBA, ratings are way up

Not a surprise, college has a huge following all over the country, bigger than NFL? No but sometimes they can sneak in there.
NBA is a little surprising considering the warriors and cavs / Lebron dominance.
I watch more NHL lately than anything else which is a shock to myself even lol.
FrenchSkin 01-16-2018, 10:11 AM Fundamentals folks!!! You never tackle with your head down! Coach's will be using this as an example for decades!!!!!
It's only an example because it came at one of the most crucial possible times.
Defenders whiff on tackles pretty often (which amazes me since this is their primary task...).
He's a rookie with a lot of pressure on his shoulders in this spot. He could have won the game... we whiffed.
Know nothing about him but I truly feel bad for him, hope this makes him a better player in the future.

OK I have changed my mind F the Eagles fans, this is just beyond stupid. I will never go to a game there.
Here is more F the Eagle Fans,
A Philadelphia Eagles fan is charged with punching a Philadelphia Police horse after being ejected from Saturday's NFC Divisional Playoff game vs. the Atlanta Falcons.
Via 6ABC, police said 22-year-old Taylor Hendricks was ejected from the game and while he was leaving he punched a police horse on the 1100 block of Pattison Avenue.
Hendricks was charged with assault of a police horse.

I think the kneeling thing had a bigger affect on attendance then many want to admit.

Unreal, and they are proud of this shit??
I can say I've never had a bad exp at a road game and I've been to 4 all over.
Actually the Rams in STL is where I was heckled the most.

No, the time is important but fundamentals will always be the same for tackling,"keep your head up"!He has been taught that since he started playing football.

It's just that we see bad to awful tackling technique all the time and this kid is getting ripped for one missed tackle because it came at the worst time possible.
Yes he was beyond bad on that play, but his offense didn't score any points in the first half, his HOF QB had a pretty bad game, under threw balls, had 2 picks (one of those was 100% on Brees), and his Head Coach made bad decisions and lost 2 time outs that could have been useful late in the game.
And by the way, the same kid, Marcus William, had an interception that set the 2nd Saints' TD and put them back in the game.
And I'm not saying you're ripping him, it's just I feel bad for this kid. Yeah he's a pro and gets paid a lot of money and should be able to make this tackle but he's still a 21 years old human being who made a mistake a lot of veteran players do all the time.
