I'm sorry, this is rather insignificant, but it's a quiet time of the offseason, so I figure this was worth a post.
"Two years ago, the NFL ordered Belichick to stop having players practice in numberless jerseys, as he had been doing in Organized Team Activities. So now Belichick has players wearing numbers in OTAs. But many Patriots are wearing numbers that they won’t wear when the season starts."
"All of the Patriots’ draft picks are currently practicing with numbers in the 50s, even players like Michel and rookie quarterback Danny Etling, who obviously won’t be wearing 50s numbers when the season starts. Undrafted rookies are wearing numbers in the 60s and 70s."
"Belichick liked practicing without numbers because he felt it forced players to communicate better and not rely on jersey numbers to identify each other. It’s a tactic Belichick learned from studying Hall of Fame Steelers coach Chuck Noll, who often had his players wear jerseys without numbers in practice. Now that the NFL has prevented the Patriots from going numberless, Belichick has found the next-best thing."
This man truly a great coach, he has to be a pain in the A at times, but man that is a coach. Not just a great football mind, but also a solid leader/team builder.
FrenchSkin 05-24-2018, 08:38 AM New Kickoff rule explained (video) and precisions about the new Helmet rule (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000933891/article/owners-approve-changes-to-kickoff-play-for-2018?campaign=fb-nf-sf190130298-sf190130298&sf190130298=1)
The video lays it out perfectly, I personally like all these changes. Again I don't think it applies to onside kicks.

Joe Gibbs was a great coach without having to be an asshole about everything. Just saying.

Good point
No doubt BB is an all time great. But his public personality sure makes it hard to like the guy, when people laugh off his one liners at pressers like it’s the greatest thing all I can think is, man what an asshole

That is the point ,he doesn't give two shits about the public but many ,many of his players love him .He gets paid to do a job and he does it well ...better than anyone in his sport.

You won't ever catch him on Snap Face.

this made me laugh...I remember when BB said this...totally trying to sound out of the loop. He knew exactly what he was saying there.
I forget the name of the show, it may have been Football life? about the Pats and BB...there is one scene where he is going over how to prepare the team for media questions. He was telling them what to expect and giving answers.
BB is a little bit of show with the media...he is well read and well prepared. He does somethings to get a response.
There is certainly some Parcells in the BB vs media act...but a different type of humor with BB than Parcells.

Oh I know! BB knows what he's saying. For a man who pays that much attention to detail on the field, you know he's also studied the media. Like you said, he says things to get a rise out of the media.
Parcells could be funny and entertaining, BB has the personality and sense of humor of a wet mop
