He had receivers drop deeper balls. Today’s loss was in no way on Smith. Our lines got manhandled. Kerrigan is invisible. After the first drive we clamped down on the run, but they picked us apart with quick slants. No in game adjustments from the coaching staff - a rookie coach out coached Gruden. Very obviously. The only one who seemed like he came to play was Swearinger. How can you come out flat in your home opener? And with the chance to start 2-0. No heart.

And not many wins to show for and wanting to get paid like you can carry the team.
I just don't get the obsession with the stats. I'd take 2000 yards every year with a better 3rd down conversion, less INTs, and a better record overall.
Also, don't get the obsession with a player who obviously didn't want to play here and probably didn't give his all and may have not been trying.
But whatever, keep riding his jockstrap.

As a Redskins fan, to me it is irrelevant that he is better than Alex Smith, because he didn't want to play here and didn't try to win here (at least last year). There was no scenario, short of giving him a ridiculous amount of money, that would have resulted in him playing (the way that he's playing now) and trying to win with our team.
It's funny that many fans have the "shut up and play attitude", but they give Cousins a pass because he's a nice guy and he was playing for the Redskins (see how many people have that attitude towards L. Bell).
To me, if you gawk over how Cousins is playing and you think he could have done that here, then you are naive. Because he quit on this team a long time ago and the team should have realized that and gotten rid of him.
It's not all on Cousins, this team should have realized what was happening and gotten rid of him.
Only I am allowed to mention such things. Lol. Have fun watching him take the Vikes over the top while Smith sets us back 4 years.
