sdskinsfan2001 10-12-2018, 11:40 PM Agree whole heartedly with your 1st point.
Predictable play calling play calling on 1st down has been an issue for a while now.
On Cooley's old, he would lament Gruden sticking with the "duo" run play over and over despite the lack of success.
So sick of it.
With regard to your second point, I like the idea of balance in the abstract because balance represents the notion you mention, being able to draw from the entire playbook.
I like, however, the how the patriots are willing to completely disregard the notion of balance for the sake of balance.
They find a defense's weakness and exploit it over and over until the D adjusts.
Whether it's running 4 draws in a row or 5 short in routes in a row, they try to step on the D's neck.

I like a lot of things the Patriots do, those bastards. If we could run the same play(s) over and over with success, I'd love it, but we haven't proven we can do that. I'm not sure what our go to play or type play even is. I miss when it was letting Jordan Reed dominate (when actually playing).
calia 10-12-2018, 11:50 PM Hey, everyone. I'm sorry you lost for several reasons. Wanted you to beat a division rival, and I know the Skins will play extra hard after the loss, but also, I wanted you guys in a good mood so we could enjoy chatting about our game.
I'm not much in to conspiracies, but you were definitely set up to lose Monday. The NFL had a product to sell and that took precedence over everything else Monday.
That really scares me about this week. I think we'll see your best.
Welcome back Coffee. I appreciate what you’re saying - a team that just got humiliated (and boy did we) ought to be a dangerous team. Truth is, none of us knows which Redskins team will show up. The Panthers, on the other hand, will run hard and play hard on D. Every week. Still, you nearly lost at home to a lousy Giants team. But it’s hard to think the matchup doesn’t favor your squad.

SFREDSKIN 10-12-2018, 11:51 PM If thats true, that's not a miss a series suspension. That's a you're suspended as long as I'm allowed to, pursuant to the labor contract. We can get no interceptions without you. He's been giving up ass all season and he's upset?

Kevin Sheehan, longtime host of the official Redskins pregame show on The Team 980 radio in Washington, said on his podcast Friday that Norman put on a pair of headphones while coaches were talking in the locker room, and either ignored or didn't hear coach Jay Gruden tell him to remove them. Sheehan's source said he believes Gruden removed the headphones.
"At halftime, according to my source, he put his headphones on while the coaches were addressing the team," Sheehan said (via Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post). "Jay Gruden told him to take them off. He either didn't hear Jay or ignored him, but with that, I was told, the headphones were removed.
"By whom? My source believes it was Gruden who removed the headphones from Norman's head. But regardless, Gruden benched him to start the third quarter, and that was the reason why."
Sheehan also noted there are "not a lot of good vibes" between Norman and the coaching staff.
"My source also tells me there is not a lot of good vibes when it comes to Norman among several of the coaches right now. Not much they can do about it," Sheehan said. "They're hopeful he begins to play better. They're hopeful he acts professionally the rest of the year."
Norman, a first-team All Pro in 2015, is the highest paid cornerback in the NFL, thanks to the five-year, $75 million deal he signed with Washington in 2016. Pro Football Focus rates him "average" at his position.

Guys on the team like Jonathan Allen and Dunbar have to be livid at this shit. Beyond unacceptable. He'll for sure be cut this off season.

Makes me feel like Josh got stuck in his heel gimmick... We all felt like this man brought a new level of excitement to this locker room, and now he's doing shit like that... Unacceptable.
Doesn't speak highly of Jay's coaching abilities either.

No conspiracy. We just stink. But I appreciate your leniency. Lol. If ur really that scared inbox me for a friendly wager. U r gonna beat us like a one legged dog in the year of the cat.
punch it in 10-13-2018, 01:45 AM Man I really thought that was our yr
I wish u could have been there for the 80’s my brother. U r a true fan and deserve it. One of these days we will regain the glory. U got a better chance of outliving Dick Snyder than me!
punch it in 10-13-2018, 01:46 AM Best post so far that i've read on the whole deal. No way in hell we go above .500 this season. Alex Smith is worse than Mark Brunell in 2006 and you guys know I loved that guy. And the best part is that Bruce Allen will still be here next year to make sure we screw everything up again.
I sooooo wish it wasn’t a good post. [emoji22]

Thanks, Calia.
The problem with the Panthers is, even when the better team, they let the other team stick around. It bites us in the butt costing the game a time or two each year, and we're always having to pull out last minute wins in the ones we do win. So, I think you're right that Carolina SHOULD win (based on records and last week's games), but this is set up perfectly for your guys to take it from us.

No offense, but I hope so. Every game's important, but we're in such a fight to keep up with the Saints and at a pivotal point where we see what we really have as we get a few guys back from injury/suspension. Based on our respective divisions, I think a loss actually hurts Carolina worse than it does Washington.
(And thank you for the invite, but my family lost everything to dad's gambling when I was a kid, so I'm not one to make even friendly wagers. That is NOT correction to you; just explanation.)
