For the record some info may be a little off, primarily with the big deals like Samuels and Arrington. But most should be accurate. Gonna make some more changes (ie Morton) in the next few days. e16bball 06-05-2005, 11:56 PM Thanks a lot, man, it's a great resource. Now, I'm not sure if you know the answer to this question, but how are we really looking for 2006? It really looks like we are going to have to do some major restructuring/releasing next offseason. I have been hearing that they are expecting a cap somewhere right around 91M for next season, which means that at the moment we are just about 20M over. Please do tell me I'm reading it wrong, lol. In any case, are there any moves that even now are inevitable? mooby 06-06-2005, 12:09 AM hopefully we can get rid of brunell after next season. gardner should provide some cap relief once we get rid of him too. i can see barrow being rid of or being asked to restructure his contract sooner or later too. Sheriff Gonna Getcha 06-06-2005, 12:34 AM Looks like we'd take a cap hit of $6.1+ million dollars if we traded or cut Taylor.....Another reason to pause before predicting/asking for Taylor to be shed from the roster before we know how the case is likely to develop. Here are some people (who's cap figures combine to nearly $40 million) who will either be cut or likely asked to restructure: Brunell $5.43 million (likely cut) Barrow $3.47 million (likely cut) Daniels $2.6 million (that's too much to pay an oft-injured aging guy) Wynn $2.6 million (if he has a good year, he won't be cut or asked to restructure) Noble $2.63 million (that's way too much to pay for an older reserve DT) Hall $1.8 million (likely cut) Harris $2.75 million (that's too much money to pay for a nickel CB) Bowen $2.4 million (that's too much money to pay for an average SS) Patten $2.8 million (he's here because that's an awful lot of dough to be shelling out to an aging #2 WR) McCants $2.17 million (likely cut) Morton $2.3 million (already cut) |
