If it was a one off thing I'd agree, but this is just typical Snyder shit. These guys have been here less than a year and already getting fired/resigning. As far as I've read, these were respectful guys and already gone. It just comes off again that if you don't tell Dan and Bruce that their shit smells like roses you get fired.

Lafemina was about to fire a bunch of longtime low and mid level employees on the operations side. I have no idea whether those people were good or bad at their jobs, but Snyder fires Lafemina to keep him firing them.

Whether he would have eventually turned things around or not, we’ll never know, but Lafemina completely failed to improve anything this year. Game attendance was significantly worse under his one year here - and this was even when the team was playing well.

Neither of us have all the facts as to who was “right” or “wrong” regarding their vision for the teams operations side. But again - i personally don’t care as it wouldn’t affect the product on the field.

What i do care about is the football side of things. I want significant changes to be made after the season. If there aren’t, and Some assistant coach is just fired as a sacrificial lamb, I’ll be sharing your outrage.

But Im ambivalent to the Lafemina firing.

^ Attendance was off only because Lafemina came in and said we need to be transparent, there's no waiting list and no more fake sell outs. You can't fairly judge what he did here in 8 months.

And the whole thing just screams Snyder is not open to change. After 8 months of having some real grown ups in the building and he said nah, I'd rather do it my way. You know, the way that has dragged the franchise into the shitter.

This. Snyder showed his colors again of being a terrible owner

Listening to the Kevin Sheehan show with Thom Loverro and Thom has added some insights:

- Thoms sources said that Allen and Jay are both very worried about their jobs. They don’t know if they’re getting fired or not
- The Swearinger release was described by a source as a “Hail Mary” attempt to keep their jobs.

To me, this is good news. Hoping to see them both gone after the season.

Even if that’s true, who cares? It’s the operations side.

Ultimately, everything on the operations side will fix itself if appropriate changes are made on the football side. Nothing lefamina did or could have done in his role would have affected that. I want to see what changes are made on the football side.

It’s abundantly obvious that Allen needs to be removed from anything related to the actual team operations. I fully expect him to be gone, or in another role focused solely on the stadium deal, by this time next week.

If he’s not, then I’ll complain about that.

I agree the product on the field matters but the fan experience matters too. There is a reason that Skins fans travel well. There is passion for the team we just don't like having a shitty experience doing it.

Ratings and attendance were on the decline well before Lafemina came in. The ops side is a problem just like the football side, it all ties in together. Fan apathy is at an all time high. Even with a 6-3 team this year and a 2 game lead in the division nobody cared. The crowd at the home opener was flat out embarrassing and that was coming off a convincing win in Arizona. The relationship between the team and fans is seriously broken.

And again the fact Snyder canned him 8 months in just shows that he's not able to see things for the disaster they are. Lafemina represented some hope that Snyder was reaching out for some help and wanted to truly change.

I'm sorry but could those of you who went to FedEx field detail why they think it's such a bad stadium?

A part from traffic and parking prices?

I took the subway to go there, thought it was super easy, and while I'm aware my game day experience was significantly enhanced by a huge luck factor, I thought the stadium was well designed, fans are incredibly close to the field... I thought it was a really good stadium... what am I missing ?

What if Lafemina's firing was just the first shot of a general executive housecleaning by Snyder? Snyder could be planning to bring in a new Team President to run the entire business, with new EVP's under him to run the business side and the football side, respectively. That could mean that Bruce and Jay will also be fired at the end of the season. I nominate General Mattis to be Team President and Bill Parcells to be EVP of Football Operations.

I've never had any real complaints about the stadium. Even parking and traffic weren't real issues in my mind but I also usually park at the Arena Shopping Center. I walk further but once I'm in the car it's a quick right out of the parking lot and a right onto the interstate. To me, a few upgrades here and there are more than sufficient. I haven't been to any of the newest mega stadiums but FedEx Field stacks up fine with the stadiums I've been to. Fans want good, competitive football first and foremost. You don't even have to win 10-12 games a year. Just put a good product on the field.
