Trea Turner reportedly agrees to 11-year, $300 million deal with the Phillies, joins Bryce Harper for long haul

Turner and Bryce together. Must be weird being a Nats fan

I love Trea Turner but I'm obliged to hate him now. Hope him and the Harper contracts burn Philly in 5 years or so.

Waiting for Swanson to sign some 8 or 9 year deal worth 30 million a year with another team.

Baseball and NBA contracts don't even seem real anymore. So much fucking money.

I hate myself for not being a professional baseball player.

Correa will be 41 by then.

Man, I was having a great fucking day.

And then, the Braves don't have a shortstop.

Life is wild.

Mets better win the World Series every year.

Man, the Mets make the Phillies look poor and the Phillies make the Braves look

Mets spending almost a half billion. This is beyond unprecedented.

The New York Mets current payroll is estimated to be around $384 million. The luxury-tax payments alone will exceed $111 million. Their total payroll projects to be $495 million.

The previous max payroll in baseball: less than $350 million. Mets are at almost half a billion.
