Dummy down the playbook, give Haskins all the reps and coach him up. If he ends up sucking we'll know at the end of this year. But playing Case just slows everything down. I heard yesterday on one of the media outlets that Keenum is getting most of the 1st team reps. That makes zero sense. The guy is the poster for a journeymen, low tier starter.

I don't have a problem with making Haskins "earn" the job. They don't want to go the RG3 route again and that started by handing him the job from day 1 no questions asked.

I'm not saying Haskins has a fragile ego, but our first 5 games this year are brutal, for that reason alone I would consider sitting him till the mini bye after the Vikings game. Besides I'd like to see Keenum beat the Vikings :)

No need to start our rookie qb against all 3 division opponents in his first 4 games, and possibly let them get into his head. Play the Bills, Jets, Lions and Panthers first before meeting the division.

This one to me is easy. Have an open competition and let the best player start week 1. You owe the locker room that much. Put the best team on the field each week regardless of draft position or contract. That can go a long way to stabilizing the team (not the franchise).

Depends on the team situation your Rookie Qb is walking into.
There is a big difference between the talent rich KC Chiefs offense, with a solid running game, excellent receivers/passing game, great coaching and most importantly a decent line in front to protect and provide time to throw.

Depending on the Redskins health/TW situation, Haskins could have a shit line of Eric Flowers and rookies blocking for him. These two situations (KC vs. Skins) are not equal and you might want to protect a rookie QB from being put in a really bad situation.

Same here, on tape he's the real deal. Super smart kid and accurate on all throws. Mahomes sat for 2 reasons :

Smith was still good
He wasn't as polished of a QB as Haskins is.

I say play him from day 1. I think that would be stupid. He should be put out there when he's ready. I can name more than a handful of qbs that didn't start right away who went on to have a lot of success. The best course of action is to be patient with this guy. Give him some time to get comfortable with the speed of the game and the playbook. If that happens to be day one then lets put him out there. If not then lets wait until he's ready.

We will know by end of pre season for sure .. I still say Case is going to be better than a lot of folks think.. Nobody wanted AP and we took a chance and he was very good for us last year! Case could be starter for a while and when Haskins takes over we have solid vet backup!
